Yep, this definitely goes perfectly, it's interesting how tim curry did the voice of captain hook and long john silver, he's pretty awesome @ playing villain roles, and those are definitely some of the most well known pirates in fictional literature!
There was a line from one episode of the Peter Pan series that I think sums up Hook's character perfectly - "Sometimes I choose to be a gentleman. But other times I choose to be a pirate."
The really impressive thing here is that the lyrics are almost perfectly matched to the animation...which I'd have thought would be nearly impossible with this kind of patter song combined with the fairly detailed lip movement. Bravo!
Thanks for the friend invite and for this awesome video! I have been waiting FOREVER for someone to do this, and I'm so glad to finally see that I'm not the only one who made the Tim Curry connection :)
There was a line Hook said to a sea monster: “Dare ye trifle with James Hook!? The only one Barbecue feared!” I didn’t realise back then he was referring to Long John Silver.
Captain Harrison Picaroon, the main villain from my first Cyril Crawford story, is more like Captain Hook from Disney's _Peter Pan_ and Long John Silver from _Treasure Island._ They're all pirate captains and their arch-enemies are boys.

Thank you!
I love it! :D
Ironically, Captain Hook is the only person Long John Silver fears.
Thank you much!
You're welcome! ^^
According to whom?
@@MaskedMan66 It's in both the book and this cartoon
@@PyroGothNerd Interesting!
They should have this and other fox kids shows even the Disney ones on DVD in the summer
this was my childhood tim is amazing
Mr. Curry did more than voice LJS; he appeared as him in the flesh.
Fucking perfection!
Thank you very much!
What is funny is that this version of captain hook was also played by Tim curry so it would make sense that he would sing this.

That is fantastic - well done on a great video :)
Long John Silver and Captain Hook were both played by Tim Curry.

@gan0nghid0rah Thanks, I loved this show and Tim Curry, so I had to do them both Justice. :D

And here I was thinking that the Muppet Treasure Island version was original.
I'm aware of that...
😁😅
:) I feel like he's monologging to himself, he did that a lot in the show... either that or Mr Smee.
This song is from Muppets Treasure Island. not the Fox kids peter pan cartoon.
Pretty neat! I'll admit, I haven't watched this show, but which episode is 2:15 from? Ghost pirates - now I'm intrigued.
I used to watch this as a kid but it has been a long time
I know this is late, but just in case you never got an answer
The episode is "The Rake"
All the episodes can be viewed on TH-cam
Who is Hook singing this to?
*You put the wrong track to the wrong footage Hook and Silver are literally not the same guy.*
Did you even read the description of the video?
