Very well explained primer on bunker shots. Nice out, Atemago! You are "The Wizard!" Ps. It's funny to myself but I've always welcomed an occasional bunker shot. Joe in N.W. PA
I thank you very much for your detailed, but easy-to-follow and understand, explanation. I especially found the " driver hitting zone" very valuable. I suggest your channel to all my friends.
I just stumbled upon your channel today; and I am glad that I did. Similar to this video on sand shots, you provide wise insights into golf shots. I have subscribed and look forward to watching and learning from your videos. Thanks man! From the warm weather and the pine trees in the background - are you in South Carolina?
Actually, yes. For most shots the point of contact is at or under the ball, so focusing on the ball is adequate. But for bunker shots we must focus slightly behind the ball.
One important part you overlooked is digging your feet a good inch in the sand. The ideal bunker shot is struck by the club hitting three inches behind the ball and about an inch below the ball. Digging your feet enables the club to dig in the sand as the club head will always bottom out level to your feet.
I have a few golf buddies I play with who get so mad at missed or bad shots. They have no reason to get mad, as they do not put any effort into practice. Golf is work. You will NEVER get better at golf if you don’t practice the correct techniques religiously!

@@jackm1591 thanks! I am not in SC but definitely in the SE
On my swings of all clubs I see the ball but I’m really focusing on the point where I want the club to contact the ground, is this correct?
