There is a joke around that anything and everything will click in Bengal if it is based on Bageshree and to our generation, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan was the last word on this Raag. This one is all silk but I am looking for the other one of great vigour and verve which I have heard more than once in the sixties. Alaap invariably started with a Krintan as a prelude to a huge huge meend which apparently sucked in the whole world. Can any one upload that version?
