@@Anemodus except you have to have no other minions and hop hag doesnt blow up your shield. and drakes stack.. so you can easily get +8 health
@@kingzut with 2 triggers and doing 3-7 aoe dmg (hagatha and optional primordial drakes) it's not hard to get the trigger, and the health would make it slightly beefier regardless

@@joeladamson4701 The old version of Shudderwock didn't even have a very good win rate (48% according to Vicious Syndicate) and this one will be even worse. It's a Tier 4 meme deck at best.

I've been running a similar deck to this for the last couple weeks. Twilight Drake is a good way to make sure your Wock survives all but the most dedicated board clears.
This is what Shudderwock should have been from the start. Its such a great design that got ruined by infinite replayability.

The secret behind this deck is that your opponent won't know that it's utter shit, so they might concede when you really have no chance of winning. LOL

I made a Shudderwock deck that just causes and destruction. Killed an OTK pally from 30 health by only playing my shudderwock.
It's a deck containing all kinds of 'deal x damage' cards. Mad Bombers, Life Drinkers, a Cheaty Anklebiter, Kobold Apprentices, Spring Rockets, Fire plume Phoenix's, Nightblades, Fire Elementals and Hagatha.
When you play Shudderwock, Hagatha battlecry clears the board, Lifedrinkers + Nightblades + Kobold apprentices account for 18 facedamage, and then you have Spring rockets, mad bombers, Fire plume Phoenix's and fire Elementals to distribute 20 damage at random.
You'd think you die early, but all of you minions are keeping your opponent's board small with their battlecries, so it actually proved itself working!

Decklist plzzzzz, i have made a control version of this when rastakhan went out, you put bog slosher and use it to bounce against control, against aggro is just a 3/3 and also i doubled the battlecry of shudderwock with murmuring elemental

That Firebat outro theme just confuses me when Toast uses it.

I run something similar with Seaforium Bombers and a ton of freeze effects and it works great. It isn't as powerful as the old shudderwock, but freezing 4 enemies, dealing 3 to each, shuffling 2 bombs into the opponent's deck, dealing 6 to the enemy face and healing for 6, then having a stealth 6/3 on the field who can attack or be bounced with Grumble (FYI: If you grumble it next turn, you can chain them 3 times, which basically means that you win) is still really powerful against a lot of decks. I'm pretty sure that I've caused several fatigue control warriors to quit the game playing this, and it can easily survive against both Secret Hunter (don't attack) and aggro by using healing rain and volcano.
Maybe run the 3 mana 2/4 that gains divine shield when its your only minion. Could help it survive

would win games with a 20+ atk windfury, stealth, divine shield, lifesteal, Shudderwocks
it was like Galvadon on steroids
I already thought of this before I had enough Mana for chain gang when it was poppin', works pretty well I might add, good job toast
pretty cool shudderwock alternative, although almost all types of board clear aoe ruins the combo. not to mention you need more specific cards in hand to pull off the combo

Toast have never seen someone draw this many toast? Did he not play against Quest Warrior in witchwood meta when around half of the deck were taunts...
You can however play at least 2 shudderwoks though if you grumble your Zola you can shudderwok and zola on the same turn.
That'd give you only 2 shudderwocks in the game though if he kills your 2/2 zola on his turn. With grumble, you return shudderwock with grumble, then grumble with shudderwock, making you able to play it 2 more times next turn (you need to keep the wock on board to keep the combo going) and then 5 times each turn after that.
You can also do Shudderwock infinitely if you Eureka a copy of it out and Trundle it back.

I tried to bring back back a shudderwock combo for standard. It involved a whole thing with the sapphire spellstone. But it wasn't as good as Toasts (obviously) because it required a lot of combo peices and needed 3 turns of setup. But it did have one advantage. My shudderwocks were always bounced to my hand after my turn, so I never had mine AoE'd.

While i was driving to work i thought about what decks will be meta after the previous sets rotate out this year and i was thinking about shudderwock and then rememberes saronite chain gang got nerfed. Then i see this. This is the 3rd time this has happened in since yesterday.

Can someone explain to me why people don't use dopplegangster in place of saronite?
this got me thinking, would echoing ooze + copper tail + omega defender work? you get 3 26-6 with stealth on the board. A 6 mana stealth minion is very difficult to remove in one turn. You can throw in a few shield breakers and dark knight in there to deal with taunts, and some glacial shards, TC130, and life drinker to stabilize the board. keep Zola, grumble or bog slosher in hand for round 2. It's clearly not as good as the old shudderwock, but I think it might be worth a shot
ohh, and throw in twilight drake. If you could get it to 8 or 10 HP, then it becomes immune to all but the strongest board clears, with the only options being brawl, blizzard + high roll on dragon fury, psychic scream/Vanish (neither of which really solves the problem), twisting nether, poisonous seed, and one of the equality combos

one thing that bothers me: hero gets frozen: why can it press the button? shouldn't he/she be *frozen*? (mind possible hero silences too for shutting down passive hero powers temporary or weapon silence since we got many effect weapons now a days).
Frozen just means it can't attack. Minions with an effect still have that effect when frozen. Yes you could argue that frozen means it does nothing and everything needs to be rebalanced if they change it, but would freezing a hero then also mean it can't play cards? I prefer just not being able to attack.

Zola gives you a golden copy of ANOTHER friendly minion. If you play her on an empty board, she has no targets

@@Cossaw Because it was actually Shudderwock activating Zola's battlecry when he was summoned. So basically Shudderwock is trying to add a copy of ANOTHER friendly minion to the hand, and since he is alone on the board, it has no target, so it does nothing.
