- Although I don't do them all the time I do like a nice panoramic image and in todays video I'm shooting panos with a Levelling Base from 3 Legged Thing to see how well it works and if it really does make panos easier. Plus I'm sharing a few of the lessons and pitfalls about panoramas that I've learned over the years
I hope you enjoy the video

Very informative video Ralph, great advice for anyone wishing to take their first panorama. Levelling bases are by far the quickest way to set your camera horizon, I use mine almost exclusively when time is tight. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
Glad you liked it Izzy.. I do like the levelling base, I've considered getting one in the past but always talked myself out of it. Thank you for watching and commenting
Once again Ralph well-constructed and presented video, great piece of kit some good Panos looked easy to set up which is always a good start. Keep up the excellent work.
Glad you enjoyed it John, It is a good bit of kit and makes the set up for panos that little bit easier. Thank you for watching and commenting
Thanks for showing us that great demonstration on panos Ralph very well explained and loved the images you had from there, have a great week and see you next time
Glad you enjoyed it Jim. Thank you for watching and commenting and have a great week yourself
Great advice Ralph. Levelling devices are an absolute necessity, especially if you are in a hurry and on difficult terrain. I am using a Benro GX serries tripod head and I find it even better as there are two horizontal rotating plates, one at the bottom and one at the top. This way I use the ballhead to level the top plate and then rotate the camera from the top plate rather than the bottom of the head assembly. Saves a bit of weight and the need to buy a separate levelling base.
Glad you liked the advice Thanos. The solution you have sounds good as well. Thanks for sharing that and for watching and commenting
Hi Ralph, nice bit of kit easy to setup for pano shots, your images were very good again this week. Have a good week.
Hi Allen. Yes, I like this bit of kit. Glad you liked the images., Thank you for watching and commenting

Nicely done Ralph, a very concise review of how to set up and shoot a pano in 6:35. I'm going to share to a small Facebook improve your photography group. Cheers.

I like your tip about getting your finger in the first and last shots of the series, in order to identify the beginning and end.
Glad you like it Scott, it's really useful if you're shooting a lot of images. Thank you for watching and commenting
Hi Ralph , nice review , i do love a 3LT product as you said really well made , looks really nice and their customer care is second to none. Some nice panos of the beachfront , looks lovely even on an overcast day. Hope your well take care mate
Glad you enjoyed it Lee. I t is a nice bit of kit and I'm happy to have it. The beachfront here is quite pretty. Thank you for watching and commenting and take care yourself
Lovely area and very interesting video Ralph. Stay safe in the heatwave. 👍🏻
Glad you found it interesting, Thank you for watching and commenting
I have a Acratech GP - ss ballhead that eliminates the need for a leveling base. You have to turn it upside down. It weights 380g, perfect for travel. They also have a larger version
Nice! I guess there are a number of solutions for levelling. Thank you for watching and commenting
Nice shots Ralph I one by Sunwayfoto dyh-66i that works the same way.
Glad you like them Bill. I think I've seen the Sunway one... Thank you for watching and commenting
Sounds like you got that one free?…..sunway make one a lot cheaper and built quite well.
@@christopherhowell3209 Yes. I always try to make it clear in the videos if I have paid for something or received it in exchange for a review. I also normally include details of anything I don't like about the product (I try to keep my reviews honest regardless of the source of the product) but, for this one, I couldn't find anything I didn't like. I have seen pictures of the Sunway one but have never used it so I can't comment on how they compare. Thank you for watching and commenting
