Have you had any issues with frame jumps hand held. People are reporting the VC and ibis don’t communicate well. I have the lens and haven’t noticed anything. Maybe it’s been fixed in Version 1.03.
I haven’t seemed to have any issues myself, at least not that I’ve noticed. I have read to disable IBIS when using a gimbal for those same reasons, but haven’t noticed VC causing any issues internally. I want to say my lens has to most recent software but I’ll need to plug it in and check.
@@Novice-Media I haven’t been able to find an update for the lens. Seems to be the original software from release but I could be wrong. I have updated the body tho so maybe that fixed it. Let me know if you find anything. 👍🏻
@@SlammedCanada my bad, I thought you’d meant for the lens (and that I’d overlooked something). My cameras up-to-date for sure, so that likely resolved any potential issues. If I notice anything, I’ll circle back to this comment though, because now I’ll be keeping an eye out!
Solid question. This lens in particular is designed for crop sensor cameras (APS-C) like the Sony E or Fuji X mount. Maybe if someone needed a 28 for photography purposes, but wanted the ability to zoom in a little bit more to 75mm. Personally, I can’t find a reason for that, hence the 17-70 as it’s something that could be still used in a vlog setup as well as portrait photography, and a lot of video formats as well.

Just curious why would someone buy a 28 to 75 f2.8 if this is on the market? What's the catch? Does it have a crop or something?
