Believe it or not, this song periodically plays at Meijer, and right when I was about to have a breakdown with my job and co-worker, this song came on like a sign from above to keep keeping, and to not give up no matter what negativity or opposition or oppression was surrounding me. I remember mouthing, "Thank you, Lea" that day because I was barely two or three weeks into my job and I had remembered how much I loved this song after listening to it on TH-cam like a few years back. It was truly a rough day, and a testament to my will and determination to hang tight and just get through the day. Like a lady said to me in the hospital (that is also another work-related story), sometimes it's the little things. Perhaps our lives are what we make of it, but there is definitely beauty to be found in the roughest of places if you keep an eye open, live life to the fullest, and make time for the good times by our own creation. I also can appreciate all that I have accomplished, all that I have changed for the better, and for all the things ahead of me--the beautiful--and yes--the U.G.L.Y. But as one of my favorite songs go, "Ya gotta keep your head up," because life is unfair, uncertain, and unforgiving.

I actually really like her voice in this song, yeah she's trained in theater and her voice and range are perfect for it but she also sounds better than half if not most pop singers with this song alone. It's understandable to compair your opinion of one artist's version of a song to another. This song was written by Sia Specifically for Lea. Would Demi sound good singing it? I love this song and the video reflects well on how Lea recovers after losing Cory, I am not surprised that Sia always makes very good songs and in this Lea she looked very good. The sound from behind reminds me of (Jessie J's Flashlight) for the Pitch Perfect 2 movie and I felt Sia sing a bit but I'm used to hearing her hahaha XD.

I actually really like her voice in this song, yeah she's trained in theater and her voice and range are perfect for it but she also sounds better than half if not most pop singers with this song alone. Yeah her voice is slightly different than that of "traditional" pop singers but that's what makes it unique.

It's understandable to compair your opinion of one artist's version of a song to another. This song was written by Sia Specifically for Lea. Would Demi sound good singing it? Probably, but, for her to sing it with the passion that she does all of her other songs she'll just have to dig to feel it. Maybe Demi would sing it about her bullying. I love this song and the video reflects well on how Lea recovers after losing Cory, I am not surprised that Sia always makes very good songs and in this Lea she looked very good. The sound from behind reminds me of (Jessie J's Flashlight) for the Pitch Perfect 2 movie and I felt Sia sing a bit but I'm used to hearing her hahaha XD.
