My dad R.I.P. was in the army during Vietnam and my brother at a different time during the 90s looked like Robin Williams and was in the air force if that's hard to believe. May God bless all veterans of foreign wars. 😣💪🏽🙏🏼🙏🏼
These 2 songs, seeing the footage and remembering my 7 month in the losing conflict where 2 million plus Vietnamese died who were living in a corrupt country supported by US make me realize how awesome they were and still are - the people of Vietnam who worshiped our Constitution and our seemingly (more) functional democracy (?), who only wanted to be free from foreign nations like China & the U.S., and who would fight for a thousand + years. The village life there look so down to earth like the native Americans. They certainly deserve our respect, admiration, love and consideration, and not violence, fear and self-righteous judgment. What a great movie.
MY DAD WAS IN THE MARINES DURING KOREA AND I REMEMBER AS A CHILD GROWING UP ON MAUI IN THE 60'S HE WAS IN CHARGE OF THE MARINE CORPS LEAGUE AND MY FAMILY AND THE MISSIONARIES WOULD GO HELP THE MARINES ON R AND R FROM VIETNAM AND I WOULD SIT AND LISTEN TO THEIR STORIES OF WHAT WAS GOING ON OVER THERE. LITTLE DID I KNOW BACK THEN THAT MOST OF THEM WOULD NOT MAKE IT HOME TO THEIR FAMILIES
I hate to admit it. But I have never missed anyone, other than family. Than Robin Williams! What a wonderful man. My heart and sincere condolences to family, and close friends.

Doug Birkeland unfortunately this song is played too much too often. Why can't people get on with each other. Race or colour of our skin shouldn't make us different. I'm white and own my own house but I still pay a mortgage but apparently I'm rich. We are all different but we ALL BLEED RED BLOOD 😢😢😢

I was drafted in 1972. No. 3 in the draft. ended up on a Fleet Salvage Ship U.S.S. Luiseno ATF-156. Thanks to someone who put black beauth down the Main Engine and Someone else who poured Soethin into the Main Generator. We did not go to Niet Nam. I was as Anti-War as you can imagine. Myself, and my friend, save our Supply Officer's but, and later gound out that the was the one who blocked me from becoming a Seaman Rank. It worked out for the best though. It taught me discipline, which so many of my colege classmates did not have.. I am a pacifist thans to my Dad who was on Iwo Hima, and taught me that war was hell Turtle Island ( remaned America), was NEVER Great. War Mongoring Nation. I loved the Land, and Hate the country.
