I know we’ve established this already but we are literally so similar… it’s crazy!! I relate to so much of how you felt about starting youtube (even our reasons why we started are so similar❤). Also I had the same experience in school, but with biology instead of math. I was always an A student but science was not my best subject and I got a 75% on my first biology exam in college. I studied for (literally) 17 hours for the next exam and got a 98% and continued to score between 95-100% on the rest of the exams bc I’d study so hard. That just goes to show that we both have such a strong work ethic - which is HUGE for succeeding on youtube!! ❤
Omg just when I thought we couldn't get more similar 😂 I agree! I think those moments of us studying and succeeding really show our work ethic, determination, and maybe even a desire to prove ourselves wrong (that's true for me idk about you lol). All those skills are so important for succeeding on TH-cam or with any new hobby ❤️
I just found you, and I'm so excited. I used to do TH-cam, but I used to get so nervous, and found that I didn't really get results, even though I really enjoyed it. I've been thinking about coming back to youtube, and you really inspired me to try again! xx
This is so nice to hear! I'm glad this inspired you! Tbh I still get nervous too and am still gaining my confidence with it, but I also think the more you it the easier it gets! I hope you come back ❤️
Love this! I'm currently struggling with starting my own channel and I really connected with your message. Thanks for the reminder that just starting and being yourself can be enough.I'm currently in the overthinking phase of filming my first vlog.
You are well on your way. So many of the points you make will resonate with your true audience. You already know this but, just to emphasize: Your tribe of like-minded people are out there. Keep showing up as your authentic self (as you just did) and be patient. We will find you.
I love the positivity in this video! Really inspires me to make more room in my life for my own artistic side/keep working on unlearning people pleasing :)
Thank you for this video, Samantha. I very much appreciate the encouragement and I got some pearls of wisdom, particular the four different types of content and the roles of the content creator. As a retired elementary school teacher, I find myself very unmotivated. I have a LOT of time... so that's not the excuse. I just need to get off my rear end and create! :) God bless!
i can relate to this, some days are harder and all i can think about is trying to reach 1000 im currently at 63 but somedays i think wow i have learned a lot since starting which is a good perspective to keep in touch with ❤
I love this! I completely agree, I think we have to enjoy the journey and see where we came from. I look back on my first videos and cringe, but I'm also like wow I'm so proud of how far I've come and everything I've learned. Thanks for sharing ❤️
Such a great message!! I look forward to your messages every Sunday. Thank you for being so authentic and adding your advice to starting some new, not just a channel, but anything you want to do.

Being yourself is definitely enough! Getting through that first vlog is the hardest part. Putting yourself out there is so scary 💫
just discovered your channel but my grandma passing away this march is what pushed me to start my youtube journey too
I'm sorry to hear about your grandma 😔 grief really makes you think about your own life and your goals ❤️🩹
