- Well, I got the 2:07. A little bummed about Furnace Fun completely screwing me over, but I can't really ask for a better run otherwise.
The timer starts when you press A on a new file, and ends when you activate the jinjonator (lose control of Banjo).
This run implements a reset after raising the water level in the crypt. It is about 7 seconds faster to reset and teleport back to the Freezeezy Peak lobby area instead of backtracking as a pumpkin.
100% entails collecting all items on the game totals screen. Therefore, Mumbo Tokens, Stop 'n' Swop items, Cheato upgrades, and double health are not necessary for the 100% category.
Although 100% does imply collecting everything, it is ambiguous unless the game gives you some sort of completion guideline. In this case, that would be the game totals screen, which the aforementioned items/upgrades are not on.
Before claiming that my run doesn't actually fulfill the 100% requirement, please understand the concepts I have explained. Also, realize that this decision was voted for amongst many community members.

One of the hundreds of things I love about this classic, you generally do not need to get the "quest" before completing it. Saves a lot of time. Great job +stivitybobo31 as always. Banjo-Kazooie is one of a kind, and it's gameplay will never be replicated.

Wow! What's going on at around 1:59:00? It's the first time I see that happening...
+doppelgangbanger so you can skip gobi the second time and poop eggs into the flower in spring making the jiggy appear, but the game is confused because the next programmed action is "play the gobi text cutscene" but he's not even loaded so the camera gets locked, and in a way you could softlock the game, but performing it a certain way lets you move and then move to mumbo's hut (which you needed to do at the end anyway) so it ends up being faster
I see, so while the camera is locked Stiv is still "blindly" moving Banjo... Wow.
yeah, he counts the talon trot jumps until he has to do the crouch jump move, and then he goes back into talon trot, counts a few more jumps, turns, and counts a few more to enter mumbos hut. interestingly enough, you can still hear the whipcrack and the wading boots, but for banjo doesn't interact with those actors, or any of the enemies, i suppose because they are off screen, the n64 tries to save space and doesn't load their hitboxes

Woah! How did you take no damage from the Clunker blade room? Talon Trot doesn't make Banjo invincible so I would guess it's something with where you can take damage.
maybe he's just REALLY good at dodging
+ImOlCraig The blades all move at the same speed but have slightly different starting points, so basically if you run through at the right angle you never get hit.
+ImOlCraig if you stand on or in a very close proximity to the crease between the floor and incline you have invincibility and is really easy to when just walking as banjo

The blades are indeed completely dodgeable. I used to do it as a kid. Can't do it any more though; I guess I'm too damn old :P

+Christian Smith Basically he kills the first one because the hitbox spawns and then he stands on the box and leaves the camera away because their hitboxes don't spawn until they're in the camera. It's just a way the game reduces lag and stuff, I believe. I may not be 100% correct. But it's something like that.
