Ashley was indulged & was left open to choose a "man" that replaced the father she didn't have... Glad she learned her lesson before she wasted decades to his abuse..
A guy always insisting that he's the man of the house is a red flag, more so than when he's coming into a family that already has men in it. The more I hear about this guy, he come's off as being very controlling and possibly a future abuser. He has the delusion that he's an alpha male but he's really a beta pup.
She should be lucky she dodged the bullet of marrying him. He was already insecure. He'd have tried to pressure her after they were married that he was now "the man of the house" and could provide for her. She makes more or close to what he makes and he'd never allow that. He would keep pressuring her to make her believe it's a good idea that she gives up her career that she loves
Not only the Brother sees red flags, but the Parents sees the red flags. And they all agree that this marriage is a bad idea...and the Bride should do better. And should take her time.
What happened to the plot in climax, falling action, and the conclusion. Story started off great, then dropped dead with nothing in the climax and ending.
Giving someone the 'shovel talk' implies that if the person given the talk mistreats the gf/fw/bf/fh, the person giving the talk will unalive them and use that shovel to dig a big hole to plant them in. :)
@@laraq07 Well, that’s almost exciting! Hahaha Thank you for your excellent explanation. I will definitely have to keep that saying in my mind. For future reference, of course.

She ignores every single red flag after having them pointed out. This woman deserves the consequences of her own actions.
Women can be strong and still be feminine. The BIL to be is cocky and his ego blows up in face; Ashley dodged a bullet.
I'm so glad that Ashley listened to her brother and broke off the engagement. He would have been so controlling in her life in the future.
Jamie is the yappy little dog to the brother's Great Dane.
Sometimes you have to let the ones you love get hurt.
Refreshing a different story. Loved it, a brother looking out for the family not just trying to obtain some kind of inheritance 👍
Jealous Jamie - "You're a liar. A big fat liar! "
Me thinking to myself. - how old is this 'man'? Is he still in Primary (elementary,) School.

What is the “Shovel” thing that is referenced here?

What a petty cowardly display by the brother using his money and position for revenge.Personal matters. Personal revenge.
Why do all these story's sound like there written by a 12 year old
