Great recording. I met Lissa one fine morning during King’s weekend. Saturday morning coffee and a roast. I really didn’t think I would be writing about my time in La Roche this many years later. RIP Lissa, you were a trip.
Lissa was my cousin. I just found this song recently. Every time I listen to it, which is often, I feel her near. The song embodies her beauty, honesty, grit and passion. It's so hauntingly familiar. Thank you Luke for keeping her alive. I miss her. The song is beautiful.
Another great song, and sorry about the transcendence of your loved one! Your vocals and instrumentation are hypnotic! "The lonely whistle told me that you ain't comin' back." The metaphor of the train... all very gripping lyrics, the visuals hazy, burning flowers, Lissa and her gregarious way of being... your slide guitar again, dreamlike, a journey into the substance of life. Thanks for sharing such phenomenal talent and meaningfulness!
the beat stops beating, like a heart, at the end ... very artfully done ... very nice. sorry for your loss.
Great music!!!

Such a touching, heartfelt tribute. I hear and feel her heartbeat and train slowing to a stop. Sorrowful but beautiful.

Lissa Driscoll changed the entire trajectory of my life. For the better, albeit a severely damaged ego.
