  • On a sunny May Day, I grabbed the camera and my dog and went for a wee daunder through the beautiful town of South Queensferry on the Firth of Forth. South Queensferry dates back to the 11th century and was named after Queen Margaret, who established a ferry crossing between the town and North Queensferry. The town has a rich history with many buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries still standing. South Queensferry is renowned for its views of the three Forth Bridges: the Forth Bridge (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Forth Road Bridge, and the Queensferry Crossing.
The Forth Bridge, completed in 1890, is an iconic cantilever railway bridge and a marvel of Victorian engineering. I love it!
