I certainly like when bands do new things, instead of doing the same thing over and over. This is an interesting direction the band it taking, and it works.
True. Metal is not all about growls, although I listen to many bands using it. I say growls and all equal vocal techniques are neat when properly used depending on the moment of a song, not just all over an album just because growls.

As someone who was diagnosed with cancer 3 weeks ago, this song really hits close to home. I'm lucky in the fact that I will probably survive; but still, each time I hear the song I feel the same way I did when my doctor told me the news. Just a complete gut-wrenching feeling of "holy fucking shit, I'm going to die". I keep repeating to myself that this guy (The Duke) felt that way every day. All I can do is remind myself of how lucky I am to have a hell of a good shot at beating this. Anyway, this song is definitely the most powerful LoG that they've put out so far. I sure hope their next album is totally awesome. Also, Randy has a great clean voice and I don't see why so many fans bitch about it so much.

Lamb of God has constantly been evolving in some way with each new album, and it's kept things fresh and exciting. Sturm Und Drang is a masterpiece IMO, and the Duke sounds amazing too. I'm almost always really pumped to see what these guys come out with. Randy's & Mark's lyricism, which has always been great, have been able to get more thought provoking & emotional, which I applaud them for.

I actually wouldn't mind if they did songs that mix clean and scream together. That's my favorite kind of music and shows true vocal talent when you can switch from screaming to clean instantly. Aka tool, pantera etc.

I agree. Metallica were slaughtered by the diehards for Enter Sandman and it's the best thing they did. If the changes come from the right place it just simply rocks no matter what. Nirvana worked on the soft loud stuff.. and the dynamic is killer. That's what we have here.

I herd this song when Randy was being interviewed, didn't think much of it at the time. Then I was stuck in traffic when this song came on, couldn't get my radio loud enough. This song is BADASS, Lamb Of God Is BADASS!
I love lamb of god, this song was to remember a fan who fought cancer and lost... this is a powerful song.
