Ive been getting back into Slowdive recently, remembered this wonderful music when I stumbled on it a few years back, Lisa what a truly amazing voice, and the dreamy sound I'll remember forever!
I only found out about this band recently and I have to say I’m hooked. I love the shoegaze genre and this feels like a hidden gem in it all. Unfortunate they didn’t make more music. Anyways happy new years to those who are still listening :)
Thank you for this I have no memory of this band. Exceptionally impressive for a demo. Needless to say it’s ethereal & gauzy, obvious descriptives within the genre - but to my ears it has the atmosphere/writing of a band that’s well past their demo! Thanks for the introduction 🖤🖤
Damn, I’ve been searching for a while to find out his cause of death, he died at 30 and I’m 30 lmao so was reflecting on mortality and youth and all that, how did you find out? Do you have any more details?
This is a good musical juice for the ear and it's stomach !! Science doesn't know this ! Yes the ears have a small stomach that is not visible to the eye! With a microscope yes !! It feeds on musical notes ! Don't consume a lot of musical hamburgers and musical sausages( ...💃🕺😎 ...) , only juice and musical fruits it's a good ear diet ( 🎸🎹🤓 )
Quero dedicar esse album a menina que conheci na festa de halloween, tinhamos muito em comum porém ela curte garotas, e provavelmente nunca mais a verei e só me resta imaginar a companhia perfeita que ela seria
WHAT instruments did they use besides a bass and vox and stuff what is the MAIN instrument the are using to make those Astral sounds spacey riffs I can't tell if that's a heavily pedaled guitar or a synth keyboard of some kind
@Sheabonez hello my friend. Laconia 1960 from Instagram. Have you played through the Strymon Cloudburst yet? I've been wanting to play these beautiful songs on my guitar, and the Cloudburst is very close. By the way, on "Porcelain", are you playing A and Amin with the open B string for the main riff under Lisa's vocal? Thank you. Gt
Alright well, the band was heavily inspired by Cocteau Twins. How else can they make ethereal music without trying to sound like them? Quit shitting on this, people actually enjoy it and dont need to hear rubbish.
@@Andermander429 to be quite honest I deserve ur comments and accept I was harsh, I was bladdered when I sent it, n was listening to treasure at the time , too defensive for my fave band, n yeah I agree eventually at some stage someone will sound like a previous group, only so many chords, the song was nice, that said, I’m surprised it’s took so long for someone to use robin guthries unique style, pls accept this as n apology, but if u listen to all CT stuff you’ll get were I was coming from, trust you understand, cheers
@dave9165 I believe they sound more like 90s anime soundtrack vibes. For instance, Yoko Kano a la Cowboy Bebop fame. I think the CT twins are more MTV POP oriented with the blend vocals where Ozean is more groove oriented.
@@dave9165no worries, I like the CT but that just shows their influence on music as a whole. Ozean cited that CT was an inspiration. Same goes for Greta Van Fleet with Led Zeppelin AND Oasis with the Beatles. My favorite band is Joy Division because to me no one sounds like them (in studio or live) so I understand where you're coming from with your concern.
All good shoegaze bands have one really pretty girl
lush
slowdive too lol
alison's halo lol
lovesliescrushing lol
Bilinda Butcher
Porcelain sounds like an encapsulation of a hazy, lush, blissful nostalgic memory. Like a time & place I seem to remember but don't know exactly when.
Hard to believe this fantastic 3 song demo is all we have of them!
But it is heavenly music that I never want to have missed. So so beautiful....
none of them knew how hard this was gonna hit except my boy on the right
Her voice
This demo is so good fuck what a hidden gem for real
Wow, just wow! This has suddenly popped up on my feed and as as kid of the late 80's / early 90's I'm so pleased.
wow
The bassline to Porcelain is just astral
one of my favorites ever
How about Fall … sounds just like Peter Hook
@@user-dnf83n0s8sg9u is peter hook another shoegaze band?
@@user-dnf83n0s8sg9u I'm happy that I'm not the only one who thought of that.
@@briskwinterair Peter Hook is a bassist from Joy Division and New Order. Known for playing bass as a rhythm guitar and and creating melodies.

I must have listened to these three songs at least a hundred times since first discovering this hidden gem at the beginning of 2023. They are perfect.

Why are there only 2 tracks?
Beautiful
beatiull perfect
This needs a wide release worthy of the music quality, wow what a great feeling when you stumble upon something new and magnificent!
This needs to be reissued on vinyl and cassette. Like now.
They reissued this on vinyl in 2017 but only made a small number of copies :(
@@justinberman5068 I know and I missed out. Time for a real reissue. Some small label would have a hit with a RSD release.

This band is totally influenced by the Cocteau Twins 100% it is a good thing because Music is a great healer and emotionally
Was looking for this comment. Robin Guthrie defined this sound. CT has been my fave band since college (early '90s), shoegazin' ever since. 🤗

Two guitars, many effects - no synths/keys

I prefer this to slowdive Ive gotta admit
These three songs surpass everything Slowdive has created. Ozean is beyond this world.
Nice tunes but completely copied Cocteau twins sound n even there song title porcelain, wtf
