would be nice if the lantern skins matched ones you already owned, it's not like you can straight up buy gold, so there would be no reason to make you buy more lanterns unless they made special ship ones alongside them
Don't special ships already have custom lanterns too? Like I know the killer whale set has a killer whale lantern with flavor text saying it came from the ship itself
Hair and beards should be available for skellies, hair shouldn’t be too hard considering your skelly skull should be the same shape as your pirate’s head. Any cosmetics that don’t work with it could be blacklisted from your options and reworked to fit with it a later time if needed
I just hope not everything has to be super crindy or PVP actions required. In terms of random encounters, I'd like to see some friendly encounters. One idea is a mysterious trader. He will not attack on sight. If you board his ship, he will offer to sell you useful items at a very good price. You can choose to attack him or steal from him, but he's really surprisingly powerful. He will stay angry at you for a week even if you or him are defeated. Inspired by the shop keep in Spleunky. Another idea is a reveler ship. They are unarmed ships with no loot, if you board them, you can join their party and drink and sing. If you bond with them, they will come revive you next time you get downed. This would allow solo players to revive. Another idea is a stranded raft. These will float buy in rafts smaller than row boats. They contain desperate starving or injured people lying on the raft. They will beg for you to take them home, you can pick them up like chests. If you bring them to their home safely, they will reward you. Lastly, I'd like to see a cargo ship. These ships are not armed well and have decent loot, but are really fast. If they spot you, they will just sail away as fast as they can. So if you want their loot, you will have to be a great shot, or sneak aboard.
You know what would be a neat feature when they add the bone caller? If they made it so when you throw one at your own ship, the spawned skellies will act as a temporary crew and patch holes for you until they de-spawn or get killed, provided there’s no enemy aboard the ship
i think they should not help anyone i think they should just spawn them. Even attack the person who threw if in distance. That makes it more of a tactical item.
@@brokeishi think that should be the case unless it’s a solo player spawning them on their own ship. I think it should be a chaotic equalizer. Agree 100% on everything you said about hourglass. driving around in circles for hours because your enemy doesn't want to fight, only to then get sunk by an unfortunate anchor ball and get basically nothing out of it... is not fun. having a mechanic that forces you into a fighting position and something that makes losing less frustrating would be great. Would be even greater if you didn't get kicked out of the game every 2 matches, but that's a different issue and not exactly a feature request, more just a "hey, rare, please fix the bugs that make the game literally uplayable at times"
We definitely need more rewards along the line of hourglass levels, 1-100 is nothing, 100-200 is some stuff, then 200-1000 is exactly one cosmetic at the very end, a cool title, and that's it. That's crazy! We need like SOME rewards. Reaper's Bones have NO cosmetics, anyway, so you could tie it to that.

100% Agree. I understand that the skeleton curse cosmetics are suppose to be rare just like the curse, but if the gold shops can have clothing only locked by a gold price and locked cosmetics with commendations so can the skeleton curse, the generic ones would be incredible for those who got to level 100 and want to retire from hourglass

I've had a similar idea for the pirate appearance area for a while, whilst i dont like the idea of seeds.. solely because it would go against why they are all made random anyway, but i always wanted to save previous pirates as well as new ones. Making a seperate tavern area that you could tab over to and see your permanently saved pirates would be great, since as you said you could save your current one and if you find another you like, save that one too. I think it having the same layout as the pirate generator room would be perfect, a circle of all saved pirates. The last change i'd want for that is the ability to inspect the pirates more closely or at least swap between poses.. them being at a distance and stuck in one pose has lead me to select a pirate i thought i liked.. only to realize they are missing teeth or generally look off now that i had seen them up close.
a random thing i'd like to see: wakes/water ripples along/behind the boat. also water ripples when the players swimming, walking in water, or jumping in the water. this would probably only be on the highest graphics settings.
16:17 Disagree. Why not just have different swords at that point? TTK is the same for all sword variants but: Rapiers: 5 (20x5) hits to kill, combo is 4 hits, sword lunge goes farther but hits for 50. Has the least amount of stun. Swings the fastest. Heavy swords: 3 (33.4x3) hits to kill , combo is 2 hits, sword lunge hits for 70 but lunges the shortest distance. Has slighty more stun than normal sword. Swings the slowest. Why? Because the sword only really pairs with the pistol. They have great synergy. Blunder and snipe do not. Blunder would pair with the rapier better as the blunder often leaves the enemy low, leaving the rapier to shine with a quick mop up. The heavy sword would shine with the sniper as a successful quickscope could be followed up with a single slash from the heavy for a kill. As it stands right now, youre either a DG build or pistol/sword build with nothing really that viable in between. These sword variants could offer new builds without disturbing the flow Rare has set up.
After watching, I think another great idea for skeleton curse would be to take parts of the cosmetics into their own categories, for example the blindfold hat paired with the reapers face mask, and the chains from the cage torso paired with the jacket
Player owned rowboat that are customizable (plain, harpoon gun, cannon) and will match the theme of your ships hull. Also would be cool if you could attach sails to said rowboat.
When it comes to hourglass i feel a change in rep overall would be great, something to get off the feeling of progress alongside the idea that the game would track what you do and add more based off of it. I dont really mind grinds in games as long as they arent extremely prolonged, but the hourglass one felt so much slower than all the others. Even moreso when you have very limitied time to play and attempt or how some players have both a job and family to care for with even more limitied time, the rep gained just feels so low. Not saying the curse should just be handed out after like 3 fights, but an increase in both win rep and loss rep would be grand. I want to see more skeleton players in support of flameheart. I also think them making the wins needed between levels match would be good, they already do it from 100-200 as you only need 3 wins to level up but it takes the same amount rep to get 1-100 as it does 100-200. Overall it would only be an interface change to push the feeling of progress too as getting a win and seeing it barely move at higher levels can make anyone feel that the grind is extremely long, especially after one win basically gets you from 1-5. Making it match would only serve to make it feel less grindy visually.
see this videos why im level 70 in guardians and about to get ghost curse so i can be a ghost skelly mixing ghost curse with war smith and love the vid love to play with yee some time keep the good work up:)
It would be cool if the brig was more useful, they could add a Bolas that would work like a chain shot on another player, and maybe a prison break interaction for someone in the brig
My nomination: Rare needs to give the quest board some love. There's so much untapped potential there. First: get rid of the non player ones. Those are worthless and serve no purpose and just confuse new people and thus turn them off to the board. Second: Get rid of the restrictions. A posted map should stay there until someone finds it. If servers merge, the maps should too to ensure none of them gather dust. Third: Allow people to post a message along with them, maybe to entice people to search for theirs. Fourth: More incentive to use it. Maybe you don't get the gold but get way more rep than you would turning it in.
I definitely agree about the skeleton curse cosmetics and more updates to hourglass would be lovely! But with Athena, while you can wear your own cosmetics with the curse, there definitely should be some cosmetics to wear with the curse or even flames of fate colored curse recolors! While it's a bit weird, and the white one would be the brightest thing since wearing the ghost curse and soulflame costume, it'd be cool to have variations like the skeleton curse. Heck, have it to where you get the curses at each hundred tier, then behind have the arena stuff and new stuff so there's something for new players AND old ones who couldn't get those cosmetics
As a soon to be skeleton, I highly agree with more cosmetics and especially more casual ones. Also, I really like youe choice of background music. Good on ya.
I really like the canons idea and how they fire on opposite factions. I do feel that a tavern on the reapers hideout is a bit redundant tho. It goes against s the whole theme of a pvp faction. Plus I’ve never seen more than one ship there that wasn’t shooting at each other.
believe it or not, I used a pirate appearance potion to change my pirate and eventually didn't like it so used another one and rolled my exact old pirate
We totally need Shadow skeleton bones in some form. They're the only skeleton type without a corresponding bone color, but they're the coolest ones Im thinking unlocking them should be tied to a FoTD commendation, probably completing a certain amount with the skeleton curse The Ghost curse could probably have a ghostly ghost weapon (used by Phantom enemies) counterpart with FoFs
an option to skip the ferry of the damned when dying would be super useful for xbox one/low power pcs. currently it takes an xbox about 10-15 seconds just to load the ferry. and then twice that when in pvp to load back to the world.
Makeup at 25, tattoo at 50, scar at 75 for hg rewards. There are so few options available for these cosmetics that actually mean much in terms of accomplishment (i know, umbra tattoo, but lets be real that thing is just a boring grind). Generic battle scars, ghostly/fire-y makeup, and tats representing each faction's lore along with some battle-y stuff
HOURGLASS an npc that appears on the ship while waiting for a match in the queue, from which you can buy supplies, including chainshots and supply crates, and select the emissary flag, and then confirm your choice and start the fight. This will significantly speed up the waiting process.
rapiers and heavy swords having thier own anmations would be nice but thier own functions could be cool too say in the time it takes to do a the 3 hit combo you do with the cutlass the rapier hits 5 times and the heavy sword hits twice but they both do the same total damage a the 3 hit sword attack even unique sword dashes could be nice the rapier goes further but not a high as the cutlass and heavy sword doesnt go very far but goes decently high and does a small aoe slam at the end with some knockback
Your clothes can be worn as a skeleton you lose who you are with out them and hall decor on the outside like skull and bones and and customizable sail with different shapes colors glowing part rips emblems and sail borders like in skull and bones and ship armor as well yeah I may be referencing form skull and bone they have a good few idea for customizing stuff
When it comes to updates, compare things to the rowboat. People still stop for the rowboat. Will people still stop at port Merrick to check it out? I'm sure A LOT of work went into port Merrick but people checked it out a few times and now it's just any other outpost. The team is making a bunch of rowboats right now, I hope they don't get distracted making a bunch of port Merricks.
I would like to see Molten sands fortress get a complete overhaul I want it to be a new kind of world event, a mega world event. You have to defeat the fleet before you can get to the fortress. Then you'll fight the ash en lords And then there would be a final boss The fleet that you fight would drop its Fleet loot And then when you clear the fortress in the bosses, the final boss would drop a boss loot and then the fortress door would be open where there would be all ashen stuff I'd say for the work you're doing in grand total you should be getting at least 250k off the place Also maybe not have it show up for everybody on the server but only visible to legends
1 i would kill for shadow skeleton skin 2 love the hourglass ideas also it should have no extra loot just base rescources it gives that however regenerate overtime and make it’s own area that doesn’t take space in a server 3 would love skeletons at upgraded reapers 4 whales just whales
In relation to more skeleton cosmetics more variety of reaper robes and hooded full masks from the three seen in the hideout. We see countless reaper npc’s wear them. Why can’t we?
Honestly, I think they should make a PvE alternative to hourglass. Look, I get it. They’re made to be PvP. But nobody does it anymore. At least, not in a way that makes the time worth it. Why not have it so that you can take over Sea Forts and raise the flag for the Guardians or the Servants. Then, the server map will mark that the fort is aligned with that faction. You get passive rep while you control the fort (stacking for each fort you control), and get more if you take the fort of an opposing faction or defend one for your faction. Only the player who took the fort would get the passive rep, but any who attack or defend for their faction will earn rep as well. To me, this idea encourages the game’s style. PvPvE. It would be hard to take the forts after they’re aligned, since you’d have to worry about the AI and the players, but you’d get lots of rep for it. Also, if people get bored, then you can still do it and get rep.
we need a way to get the skelly curse without pvp using the hourglass and selling to the reapers bones should give you rep and if you dont open the map you cant get raided but if you sink while the hourglass was open and you got levels maybe the enemy can sell the hourglass get gold and siphon the rep you earned to their prefered faction (the one they played the last)
I 100% disagree with a shrinking hourglass circle. That limits what you can do in a fight. I like the way it is, it lets the battle be as short or long as you like. 99% of the time no one’s running unless they need to reposition. Part of the fun is psyching out your competition. Getting into their head. A shrinking circle doesn’t help. Sometimes I enjoy a quick battle, but I also enjoy a long fought battle where both ships are giving it their all. I think what would make hourglass more fun is an anticheat that stops cheaters… I got one shot by a pirate shooting a blunder shot from a pistol. That’s not fun! Plus I feel the reward points need be better to make the mode feel less like a grind.
Hourglass improvement one: fucking make it easier to get out of it. The amount of fucking times I have queued for hourglass when I’m just trying to open the voyage tab on a sloop is asinine.
It's been like a YEAR and I'm only level 12 in reaper faction it needs to be made at least a little rewarding if you lose lie other pvp games, depending on how much you try or how badly you lose changes how much of a reward you get would make it a lot less discouraging
Ánd RARE should release the RARE collection on Playstation and Switch as well, because those games are AWESOME! (and add Goldeneye / DK) Ánd RARE should remake Banjo-Kazooie, because the game is LEGENDARY!
Period. We need different ship types, at least three different ship types for the three ship classes. With the way it is now every single ship battle plays out the exact same way… i.e turn to the right lower sails and death spiral to the left wile trying to board & anchor…… thats it!! If they merely changed the boarding, attack & defense and just the basic shape of the three ship types that im suggesting here… we would ACTUALLY have a ship meta and battles wont be so easily predictable.
The bag of wind is from the Odyssey not SpongeBob. The thing from the SpongeBob movie was pulled that plot device from Greek Mythology. A guy making videos about pirate stuff should already know that.
A kick button. For those times when you have an absolute dick of a crew mate or your friend closes the app before leaving causing them to remain in you're crew for 10 minutes.
@@ferreisd71pretty sure brig is only temporary but yea if a player leaves with alt f4 for example they get stuck in the crew stopping other people from joining the crew which can make it annoying when inviting someone else to join the crew also brig can be easily countered by 2 trolling crewmates, this makes brigging someone impossible, 2 people need to vote on a brig on a brigantine and 3 need to vote for a galleon but for a sloop there is no brig

New faction war: Wales Vs Megs.
This can be elaborated on when the merfolk and the Ancient become relevant
I just want them to add parrying
But thay did 😂, just hold m2 next time you use a sword.
10:08 I feel like the seaforts will be removed and replaced with the flameheart camps in season 13
I agree with everything in this video. The skeleton cosmetics I want most are the cursed captain's and the sea dog skeleton captain's clothing.
Plus I’ve never seen more than one ship there that wasn’t shooting at each other.
i want to be able to own a full skeleton galleon tbh, the full skeleton experience
believe it or not, I used a pirate appearance potion to change my pirate and eventually didn't like it so used another one and rolled my exact old pirate
would love to have a safe place for my Outfits, like 3 Slots you can safe your outfits in and change quick.
Hey what’s the name of the song playing though the whole vid?
So all you want is… more skelly curse and hg improvement?
Saw the thumbnail, subbed liked notifications on. Your just right automatically
We totally need Shadow skeleton bones in some form. They're the only skeleton type without a corresponding bone color, but they're the coolest ones
Im thinking unlocking them should be tied to a FoTD commendation, probably completing a certain amount with the skeleton curse
The Ghost curse could probably have a ghostly ghost weapon (used by Phantom enemies) counterpart with FoFs
an option to skip the ferry of the damned when dying would be super useful for xbox one/low power pcs. currently it takes an xbox about 10-15 seconds just to load the ferry. and then twice that when in pvp to load back to the world.
I want the drunk update. Imagine someone deck shots you, takes one shot at you and just collapses on the deck
whats the backround music?
HOURGLASS
an npc that appears on the ship while waiting for a match in the queue, from which you can buy supplies, including chainshots and supply crates, and select the emissary flag, and then confirm your choice and start the fight. This will significantly speed up the waiting process.
whats the background track?
rapiers and heavy swords having thier own anmations would be nice but thier own functions could be cool too say in the time it takes to do a the 3 hit combo you do with the cutlass the rapier hits 5 times and the heavy sword hits twice but they both do the same total damage a the 3 hit sword attack even unique sword dashes could be nice the rapier goes further but not a high as the cutlass and heavy sword doesnt go very far but goes decently high and does a small aoe slam at the end with some knockback
The whale thing is unlikely as some are endangered and it could give people the wrong idea but otherwise your vid is awesome keep up the great work
I think rare should add a hunt for the gold hoarder quest that combines all three quest types into a single quest for a big payout
Your clothes can be worn as a skeleton you lose who you are with out them and hall decor on the outside like skull and bones and and customizable sail with different shapes colors glowing part rips emblems and sail borders like in skull and bones and ship armor as well yeah I may be referencing form skull and bone they have a good few idea for customizing stuff
good video mate hope rare sees it
I was just thinking ab the skelly stuff today
When it comes to updates, compare things to the rowboat. People still stop for the rowboat. Will people still stop at port Merrick to check it out? I'm sure A LOT of work went into port Merrick but people checked it out a few times and now it's just any other outpost. The team is making a bunch of rowboats right now, I hope they don't get distracted making a bunch of port Merricks.
Um, you do realize that adding more emergent random encounters would make the likelyness of getting the shrouded ghost even more unlikely
that skeleton lord will NOT bring Ramsey to his kness I REFUSE TO LET IT!
I would like to see Molten sands fortress get a complete overhaul
I want it to be a new kind of world event, a mega world event. You have to defeat the fleet before you can get to the fortress. Then you'll fight the ash en lords
And then there would be a final boss
The fleet that you fight would drop its Fleet loot
And then when you clear the fortress in the bosses, the final boss would drop a boss loot and then the fortress door would be open where there would be all ashen stuff I'd say for the work you're doing in grand total you should be getting at least 250k off the place
Also maybe not have it show up for everybody on the server but only visible to legends
1 i would kill for shadow skeleton skin
2 love the hourglass ideas also it should have no extra loot just base rescources it gives that however regenerate overtime and make it’s own area that doesn’t take space in a server
3 would love skeletons at upgraded reapers
4 whales just whales
Honestly a 2nd reaper outfit, all emissarys got a new one except for the reapers, we got shafted
reapers did get one for earning your distinction but its skelly curse only
In relation to more skeleton cosmetics more variety of reaper robes and hooded full masks from the three seen in the hideout.
McGee gets skeleton curse then becomes the sitting in camera mode youtuber
They need to add golden ghost weapons to match the golden ghost curse
we gotta promote this video so rare can see
I legit just want an ancient skeleton bone color
Just imagen adding an leviathan from Subnautica in Sot as an cross over. It would be scary as hell
You talked about my two favourite ever
Man i wish they will add gold hoarder skull for skelly curse
Wish they would let you have two pirates, like gta having 2 characters
we need a way to get the skelly curse without pvp using the hourglass and selling to the reapers bones should give you rep and if you dont open the map you cant get raided but if you sink while the hourglass was open and you got levels maybe the enemy can sell the hourglass get gold and siphon the rep you earned to their prefered faction (the one they played the last)
pve tears
@@TheRealTGR nah the curses are about pve skeletons and ghosts and im to busy having a life
I 100% disagree with a shrinking hourglass circle.
The amount of fucking times I have queued for hourglass when I’m just trying to open the voyage tab on a sloop is asinine.
yall know what background music this is?
Beyond the Deep Blue Sea - Final Fantasy V (specifically the version used for the Mario's Mystery Meat ROM Hack)
It's been like a YEAR and I'm only level 12 in reaper faction it needs to be made at least a little rewarding if you lose lie other pvp games, depending on how much you try or how badly you lose changes how much of a reward you get would make it a lot less discouraging
No way
Give me a moving fret board like from guitar hero to play the pirate shanties
the whale one though it will piss off peta to no end and whaling is really bad irl but i'd rather have more land based hunters call stuff
They need to add female skeleton curse cosmetics honestly
More clothes for Skellys should be great
How about just making Skeleton versions of the outfits in the game?
Ánd RARE should release the RARE collection on Playstation and Switch as well, because those games are AWESOME! (and add Goldeneye / DK)
Ánd RARE should remake Banjo-Kazooie, because the game is LEGENDARY!
I can see why they would be against adding whales you could kill and sell given the attitude towards whaling in the status quo.
Im your 1k subscriber
This guy only has good ideas
Damn cool skeleton man
A kick button. For those times when you have an absolute dick of a crew mate or your friend closes the app before leaving causing them to remain in you're crew for 10 minutes.
brig exists
@@ferreisd71pretty sure brig is only temporary
but yea if a player leaves with alt f4 for example they get stuck in the crew stopping other people from joining the crew which can make it annoying when inviting someone else to join the crew
also brig can be easily countered by 2 trolling crewmates, this makes brigging someone impossible, 2 people need to vote on a brig on a brigantine and 3 need to vote for a galleon
but for a sloop there is no brig
Oh no PETA would lose their shit if they put Whales in there.
I think Whaling wouldn't be something Rare would want to promote
No, we dont need a reapers hideout 2.0 like port merrick, will make all area around so laggy
All great ideas frl
yes, just give us fucking skelly beards please!!!
