Thanks for your videos, all these are super useful. Great work! Any time i struggle with something in foundry, i find one of your videos that solves it
i dont have DAE spells compendium , i have dynamic effects SRD installed and some of the other compendiums, like DAE items and DAE SRD feats. but not spells.
Having an issue with the automation of concentration checks. Whenever the PC/NPC gets hit the status drops instantly then the request for con save appears, by that time it won't apply as the status effect is already gone. Anyone here knows a workaround?
It shouldn't drop instantly. Is it rolling for the save automatically and then requesting it? Are you using LMRTFY to request your checks? If so, what is the delay set to in your workflow?
Great video, as always. I am going to pester you again. I have all of the modules loaded that you do, but I do not have Duration tab between Details and Effects on my spells. Any idea what I am missing?
Great videos! Thanks for doing these. I was momentarily confused because I thought you were gonna make mention of CUB's Concentrator (which does much less). I think you briefly mention discuss using Midi-qol's concentration automation, but some may not realize you have to enable them under the Workflow tab. The linked personal settings don't reflect that. I may take this to the discord, but everything seems to work with the exception of removing the DAE. It DOES perform the check properly and removes the Concentrating condition when it fails, but the main effect (i.e. Bless) remains. Any ideas on what I'm missing? Are there any DAE settings to know about?
Having used both the CUB concentrator and MIDI-QOL I greatly prefer the latter. Ah, it looks like one of my images for my settings didn't upload. I'll fix that today. I didn't go into depth on the MIDI-QOL settings in the video since there are a lot of them. I will go ahead and pin a comment letting people know to enable the concentration in MIDI-QOL. Does the Bless status not drop off when you are both in and out of combat? Are you using the one from the DAE SRD or did you make it yourself? I'll take a look to see if there are any potential settings that might be causing you trouble. I'm positive the Discord could help too as well.
@@mr.weaver6742 Thanks for the answer!!! I don't know why but the next day everything went as it was supposed to. Maybe I changed something but now it works fine.
IDK if anyone's gonna see this, but for some reason, healing triggers concentration checks for me; Is this a known problem that I can do something about?
Also, in the very beginning of the video, when your character casts the Shield spell, and that little purple icon came up on the Token, what module makes that icon appear? When I cast spells, I do not get any little icons that appear on my character tokens.
Dynamic Active Effects. You'll need it to be set up though. As I showed off in the video, I pulled bless from the DAE SRD compendium as it's already set up with the effect. Shield is set up too if you want to grab it from there. You'll need to change some of your settings to make the icon appear, check out the links/images in the description for guidance on that matter.
It's hard for me to troubleshoot on here. But let me ask, are all parts of the video not working? If you apply a DAE effect and then let time expire, does the effect go away?
I might be doing something really stupid but, for the life of me, I cannot make it so that concentration stops after the duration of the spell ends, inside or outside combat. In order to set that up, did you make a custom temporary condition or something like that? Appreciate the help.
I believe it's for out of combat duration. However I think without it, spells and the like will fall off naturally out of combat. However, Calendar/Weather will allow the GM to skip time.
Calendar/Weather allows you have the clock feature that you see in the video. You'll definitely want that for managing out of combat spell effects. It is possible with About Time alone to interact with the internal clock it creates - but it's significantly more tedious than the setup in the video.
Video notifications from this channel helps me release endorphins. Keep up the great work!
very interesting, I had missed times up. Will definitely take a look at it cheers.

You can also use smalltime with about time instead of times up
Super helpful videos, much appreciated! Keep up the great work!
Glad it was helpful!
I love this channel. Definetetly a must suscribe for all Foundry Vtt users.
Great video dude. Thanks!
Very useful as always. Thanks for keeping it up Mr. Weaver.

Yup. Try adding a new effect or editing an effect that's already there.
@@mr.weaver6742 Ok. Found it. I watched your video again and saw where you clicked. Thanks again.
Does this work with instant spells that have templates like fireball?
where do you get the status effect icons from? mine look wildly diffrent and concentration doesn't even have an icon.

@@mr.weaver6742 I have the same problem. Concentration icon drops but bless doesn't. Did you find the problem? It happens both in and out of combat.
@@marcosaoner2234 Hmm... I'm not certain. That happens both if time expires and also if the player drops concentration due to an attack?

@@mr.weaver6742 Ok. I got that to work. I did not know that you had to use the spells specifically from the DAE spell list. Thanks!
Have you found a way, other than making a custom macro, to automatically target a magic missile at 3 different people?
Not yet. I wouldn't be surprised (at the rate Tposney devleops MIDI-QOL) if a solution isn't already planned or there's one already floating around.
Yeah I have this all set up and it still isn't working :/

Why is "Calendar/Weather" crucial?
