Looks great. Algae should sort itself out if you reduce photoperiod until the tank is fully balanced. Now add CO2 to complete the natural ecosystem :D. Also, is there a lot of flow in there? I imagine you'd want higher flow for such a deep huge tank.
Why bother with co2? FF meant to be low maintenance natural tanks, not highly tech artificial environment. Decomposing soil and fish waste releases c02 as an end product.
@@antontk2531 Are you forgetting something? Natural freshwater bodies often have significant CO2 levels. Sure, not all, but a lot. CO2 injection in FF tank is just another way to make it "more natural". Unless you do blackwater, CO2 pros > cons. Glass water boxes contain negligible CO2 for optimal plant growth.
@@kbbtt I’m not against co2, I tried it before I settled with almost no maintenance FF tanks. All I do nowadays is top off the tank and some water change couple times a year. My tanks are not showroom tanks but plants are doing just fine
I have a canister filter pushing some water up top, but nothing else. I wondered about that. Sorry, but not planning to add CO2 unless my kids blow bubbles through and airstone; they like that.
I have 5 tanks all done the same way.
I absolutely love the low maintenance way to keep fish
