oh my god that is so beautiful, what a miss in almost all pvp base builds is the railings that make it impossible to drop stuff without it falling off and you nailed it here, i love it! beautiful build, keep it up
we Armor our tree plats. u can snap a ceiling in off the edge. then foundation behind it. drop 1 wall down on the out rim and make it a room all the way around the plat. makes a good gen spot.
Yeah, I think I mentioned it somewhere in my ramblings but I don't really think its worth it, like thats a lot of resources you could be using on more turrets/ammo. Plus the tree platforms take reduced damage from explosives. That and the foundations stick down enough that if someone blew up just one of them it would make a little hole they could hide in and probably be protected from a lot of the turrets ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is mandatory if you want to build on cliff and tree plats because cannons exist and those dont get shot down by your turrets making them your absolute worst enemy. I would also consider a skirt going down the underside as well as an addition layer of protection to slow raiders down.
There is a way to build giant hatch frames vertically into walls. You could use those inside the wall of your treehouse. I wanted to share this video with you and found out it was a vid made by yourself! Haha lol
i didn't buy the game yet, waiting for official orp but can't you expand out 2 ceilings from the platform to make more room in the base? Can you do that in ASA ? @@silva7172 why not when there were 2 ORP pvp clusters on ASE :)) they're probably waiting for more maps to be released as it wouldn't make sense to have just one or two ORP servers. if they put up more they will have to take them down later
Indoor crafting area for metal collection/crafting and teleport transportation with forge, dedi boxes etc? :) Realistically you already have most of that in your past 3 vids I suppose.....
Its a very elegant design the issue is that this can be raided rather easily as is with cannon balls. Cannon balls are like the de facto way you deal with tree and cliff plats and you HAVE to think about this when you design a pvp base on them because your turrets wont do shit to those. they will stop rockets, sure, but not cannons. There are methods you can use to protect your tree plat from cannon fire but as far as I can tell they were not done in this video.
Tragically there is no way to defend a tree platform base against cannon balls. You could spam more protective layers around it I guess but with the cannon balls will just go through that too. However, it takes like 200 cannon balls to break the tree platform, so if someone wanted to raid it like that it would take them forever and a lot of resources lol
I'm shocked and disappointed the toilet vid got so little action. I'm still planning to do it on our server, once we get those tek cellar doors unlocked.
Well, there isn't really a good way to close it on official server settings and it depends on the tree you build on as they're all different. Best advice I can give is just try experimenting with pillars, triangle ceilings or quarter ceilings in and see what fits :/

the issue is... the rails fuck your build cap. i just got TOP rails. granted my tree base is bigger... but it fucked my build cap in the base over all. had to use big walls to counter this

You can snap foundation’s to the bottom of the tree platform to protect the bottom. You just gotta place walls first.

You can expand out 3, it does give alot more space, but way more resources to build both out and up plus turrets

Can you explain the methods? I'm not a super heavily seasoned player but I am in the process of building this and just don't want to be raided
