Rabbi Yaron Reuven gives insights on a popular Chanukah song Ma'oz Tzur to remind us of what Chanukah is really about. The song Ma'oz Tzur says the Greeks broke the barrier that separated Jews and gentiles and their Hellenist ideology infiltrated the nation. Unfortunately today this ideology seems to have resurfaced and the only cure is light of the holy Torah. Full Shiur: th-cam.com/video/c8Ll9jST9IY/w-d-xo.html
Todah for speaking clear words about the celebrations of the goim festivals, all connected with idol worship and worse. Here in Germany they let a German Politician light the Channukiah, HaShem Yirachem, right next to a X-Mas Tree😢. And unfortunately they do not care so much about hearing that that is absolutely forbidden. I pray that HaShem will be merciful and return every single one on the right pass again. Fearing the Creator and serving it wholehearted and with joy and happiness. It is the month of Nes Chanuka and I hope the light of the Chanuka Oil will penetrate into the heart of Am Israel and open our hearts so we can once more return to be a nation serving HaShem as a Unity with love an fear. Thank you so so much for speaking up about these subjects. Wish everyone a blessed Chanuka. ❤
1:30 How does anyone think Mordechai wrote a song that references the Chanukah story (200 years after Purim) and the destruction of the 2nd Beis haMikdash (200 years after that)? 😂😂😂 Nobody knows who this Mordechai was, but it was written sometime in the 1100-1200s in Ashkenaz. Definitely not written by Mordechai.
The walls that they pierced were the walls of the soreg, as described in Mishnah Midot 2:3. It wasn’t just a barrier between Jews and non-Jews, it was a border beyond which no non-Jews (or Jews who were tamei meit) could pass on har haBayit.
Mishnah Midot 3:2 ... ...the Soreg, ten handbreadths high. There were thirteen breaches in it, which had been originally made by the kings of Greece, and when they repaired them they enacted that thirteen prostrations should be made facing them...
