Since the last patch Offlane video I managed to move from archon IV to Ancient III despite me spending about 3-4 years in ~2k mmr (casual gaming with buds). Jenkins manages to deliver hints of what to buy, and how to play with 1-3 sentences and then I just find the needed detailed content on Dotabuff for every hero I need. In his last video he basically said “Blademail+Heart” and I played the shit out of Centaur, NS and Slardar. Although this patch doesn’t have significant mechanic changes, I can’t play the same heroes from the last patch effectively. This is going to be a useful content I’m about to see
Spectre has a way to deal with that but a little unconventional → going bkb manta disperser and switch play style into running in and out, having primal chasing you through the fight. Unless they buff aghs its still a pain to play aganist Primal as spectre. I usually do the aghs refresh octarine against him
Slardar is good since before the new frontiers update. I've been stomping lanes consistently since forever. The current patch is just icing on the cake. People were so unaware of slardar, it's amazing how he was under the radar.
Can you give me a tip on how to do this? I loved Slardar years ago and now since trying again he's one of my lowest win rate heroes in the offlane. I find even if I'm initiating im dying very fast and then the team loses the fight
@@deejaybee11 It depends on the matchup, but what I do 90% of games is start with a wraith band setup and buy the receipt right after the bounty runes. If I don't need a wand I rush treads which I keep on agility. When the enemy tries to take CS I just go to them but with movement click so I don't aggro, and when I'm near them, I attack. I always try to hit with the bash attack, and even though the damage will be higher if I start with stun, I rarely do that, because I go for the longer disable time using bash-stun-bash. I always max out bash and sprint, then go for the sprint CD talent. I never buy MoM, and after the blink (so Wband, treads, blink), I always get something else depending on the matchup. If I stomp, I get echo sabre before blink. You also have to know how much you want/can commit. Sometimes I initiate just to create confusion and back out instantly. If they have skillshots like hook or sacred arrow, you will bait everything, because they think you will chase or man up, so that's something to keep in mind.
Yeah Slardar has a top win rate since many months ago, but he kept being ignored/overshadowed by the top opinions in meta. After the nerf to sb, now slardar becomes the top of meta himself
I unironically put like ~100 games into morphling 3 a couple patches ago (7.31-7.33), lmfao. It was pretty terrible, even in my dog-shit guardian-crusader bracket 😂it's even worse now though, with the stun duration nerf, the removal of the "double shot stun," and the stun duration being moved to a 20 talent. I really do think back in the day it was like, at the worst *playable* (though imo support, not 3, rofl; laning stage would be super ass though), cuz two 4-second stuns every 10 seconds is ridiculous (even with the 500 knockback). My favorite thing I've done with morph though was getting an aghs+lens back when it gave 600 bonus cast range (almost 3 years ago now lol), then turning into an allied pudge with a hook so long it was *literally* 1.5 screens long 😂😂😂 It was kinda awful but the super-duper hook was so funny I gladly took the Ls, lmfao
Veil of Discord on Mars. Did you know it reduces armor for physical spells? I think it reduces about 3 armor for his Rebuke. Paired with an orb of corrosion you have a mini deso on your Rebuke.

I see you have failed to put warlock on the offlane list. My warlock build: starting items: 3 circlets, 1 branch, you now have 900 hp lvl 1. You build helm of dom, farm waves with chains and Satyr nuke/hellbear smash, and jungle. You rush radiance then Overlord. You are now a walking hazard that demands respect. With aghs you have 3 radiances all stacking, so around 180 dmg per second in an aoe.
In my games WK has like 90% lose rate. Is so bad his pick, it does nothing, it only has 1 button and can't escape nor do a good entry in the enemy team (only can stun one) plus wk has no Armor so carries do a lot of damage to him.

I spam omni & has 80% winrate in ancient rank. The only weakness omni is slow farm which i fix that by buy midas. I make midas as omni core item not situational before buy shard. Even now midas nerf i still buy it on omni. My item build is bracer,phase,soul ring,midas,shard then wtv depend on game. Max q 1st, can farm fast with soul ring.
I'm a DS spammer and DS for whatever reason hasn't felt better than now. Maybe something clicked with me or I don't know but my win-rate this patch blind-picking DS across 45 games is 69% (nice). The beauty with DS is his ease of farm, the map setup for flash-farming, and itemizing to the needs of both your team and what the enemy composition is. Yes the main dimension of play is to counter ranged carries like luna, drow, tb, and medusa to a lesser extent. But depending on your lineup you can play a buff to an aggro melee carry, you can build auras; you can build initiate; you can itemize for melee-illu carries with crimson radiance shivas; aghs generally always feels nice, etc. DS is just stable and SO versatile.

Said bristle was TRASH when he first got his new aghs plus a buff and ended up the most broken hero that patch. All basing on whats on dota2protracker instead of actually playing the hero and evaluating independently of current stats.

spirit breaker is still picked every game at lower mmr and is still obnoxious as fuck, but mostly as support ): when we play with a 5 man party, we just pick it every game so it gets banned lol
