    Nice shooting with a new setup. I appreciated seeing how the rifle did with that ammunition. As a firm Tikka fan I keep thinking I “need” a T1x, and I shoot a lot of SK Standard Plus with a rifle I have. I’ve seen many other reviews of the rifle, but as always your test methods are far superior to most TH-camrs’, and your videos are far more useful for making good decisions.

    I have the same rifle as you and I friggin love mine. I have it setup for NRL22 matches and I feed it a steady diet of SK Long Range Match. On a calm day it'll consistently print 10-round groups between 0.3" - 0.4" at 50 m (or occasionally better) with the aforementioned ammo. Your results here look mighty promising so I might have to try some Standard Plus since it's a bit cheaper than what I'm shooting now. Enjoy the new rifle, cheers!

    Ive never seen any bad reviews on that rifle!
    The Gunviking uses one and he pulls off some really good groups, even with ammo not known for very good accuracy!

    Really good shooting under such conditions 🥥🥥🥥. Mine on a KRG Bravo chassis thinking on replacing trigger also with JARD trigger. Thanks for the video.

    Your gonna like that Tikka. My factory Tikka trigger adjusted down to about 1lb. I finally put a Jard trigger in it.

    • @BROTUNED

      Was the Jars worth the extra cash other the factory at 1lbs?

    • @FukuYTmark6
      @FukuYTmark6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @BROTUNED While I quickly changed triggers in CZ, Bergara etc. I was hesitant to change the trigger in the Tikka. 1lb trigger is pretty good. But I was ordering Jard triggers for a Ruger American and Christensen arms. I thought why not order for the Tikka while I'm at it. My Jard trigger currently pulls at 9oz. But you can go down to 3oz. How does Jard compare to Timney and Trigger Tech. I think both Timney and Trigger Tech are a little fancier. But Jard is on average cheaper.

      Awesome thank you for sharing that information with me I really appreciate it! I love a good trigger I got mine down to just under 1lbs not and it’s very nice. Maybe I’ll hold out a bit on a new trigger for it. I made a few more videos with it at 3 lbs and it still did very good I’ll have a new video soon with it at 1lbs with cci sv and it did better than my cz on the same target. I don’t wanna spoil the video but it should be released this Wednesday morning

      🫡

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it is, it’s an aluminum skeleton in some space age composite fiber. When I got it I wasn’t sure if it was all aluminum or what but after doing more research it is some special composite outer shell. The bedding area is aluminum as well as the trigger guard. Now I need to get me a T3X in 6.5 creedmoor and just swap back and forth.

    A Tikka is one rifle none of our shooting group has ever really looked into. 3 out of our 4 have moved over to Vudoos and an Anschutz and we have one guy shooting a very uncommon 457 MTR in the green and orange Varmint Precision Chassis configuration. We've found that some of the older rifles (Winchester 52C, Kimber 82G) perform great also. I'm ordering a Kidd, so we're going to see how that does as well.

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@BROTUNED We've never filmed anything, but may dabble into it. Over the last 3-4 sessions, my Vudoo is consistently averaging in the 0.730-0.788" range over 20 groups at 100 yards. Best 100 yard five shot group I've done was a 0.253" and have had a few others in the 200s and 300s.

      The more time I spend with it the more I like it. The bolt still isn’t as smooth as the CZ but it’s a lot short stroke and bolt angle almost takes some getting used to. It’s going to be strange shooting a long action magnum soon ha ha cheers

    I noticed you are back with the Vortex Razor Scope. For the money its super clear glass. The Discovery and Arken Optics are wannabe but the RAZOR is the real thing.

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I honestly prefer the discovery on my 22’s because of the reticle. It’s much finer and I like the aiming dot like the Arken and discovery have. My razor has such I thick cross hair it blocks small targets at 50 yards and out. I also have a viper pst gen 2 I might put on it for now because I like that reticle better also. As far as glass goes the only time I can see a difference is when the sun is setting. The razor stays noticeably brighter when the ED PRS starts to get dim. I just shot a video tonight at sunset using 3 rifles with 3 different optics the razor the ED PRS and Bushnell elite tactical LRSTi 4.5-18 and the razor was the brightest and the Bushnell was the dullest. All shooting was done within 20 minutes so the light was basically the same for all three. I’ll be releasing that vid hopefully by Wednesday morning.

    • @BROTUNED

    It's kinda ridiculous that companies make such accurate guns and then put crappy triggers on them. This is probably my next rifle so I'll go into it know I'll have to do something about the trigger. Thanks.

      You can adjust the trigger on the tikka.

    • @FukuYTmark6
      @FukuYTmark6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Tikka factory trigger is actually a pretty good trigger. Adjusts down to about 1lb. I would take a factory Tikka trigger any day over a factory CZ trigger or factory Bergara trigger.

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I recently adjusted it down to 1lbs. And it’s very nice I’d almost say timney nice but a bit heavier. I’m looking into a spring kit for it to bring it down a bit more also. If I can get a reliable and safe 8oz out of it I won’t replace it. It’s a nice trigger.

    • @johanneslaxell6641
      @johanneslaxell6641 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my opinion it depends alot on what you are going to use the gun for. For everyday use I don't see the gain, but if the goal is to lie on the range wondering how to get the group from 0.30 to 0.29 I understand it. I find that the trigger is better than my shooting so...

      @@BROTUNEDIs it so much better than the UPR that you feel it's legit? And does the stock make that barrel+action shoot better?
      The reason I ask is because I see more and more people "knowing" that they have to change the trigger, change the stock and change the barrel. Then they tell that their "Tikka" shoots so nice even though the only piece "Tikka" is the bolt/action and sometimes even those "tuned to perfection"...

    • @BROTUNED

      Worth a try. Was thinking of doing the same with mine

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think on the tikka the stock is to flimsy for target shooting but would be fine for hunting. The trigger and barrel are great I won’t replace the trigger unless someone gives me a better one for free. Same with the barrel it shoots amazing. But the stock is where the money savings came from in this rifle in my honest opinion. It’s a 1500 rifle but in a cheap plastic stock so they could sell more of them at 800$.
