I L O V E this song and the different flash mob videos that have been done on it! People can get along if politicians get out of the way. I’m 63 and it puts a smile on my face to see the young and old of all different colors and back grounds just having fun together.
I was 13 walking around our Rocky Mountain neighborhood with my friends and cassette player and it was always this album! 40 years later and I still love them so much!!❤️ what this world needs today!!

ELO hold a special place in my heart. Saw them in Eugene, OR the winter of 1975/76 live, what a great show lazor lights and all. Then met and danced my first dance with my future bride to Evil woman spring of 1976. We have been together 43 years. If this song and video doesn't make you smile then you're already dead, Peace out.

ELO music has meant so much to my life! They were my first musical love at age 6 when I heard Evil Woman on the radio. By the time I was 10 in 1980, I had all their albums from No Answer to Xanadu (partially my Dad's collection). Liked the album soundtrack alright, even some of the ONJ songs. The movie was pretty cheesy looking back, but I still loved it for its time and especially the music. My first ever concert too was ELO in 1981 (Time tour) at age 11. I will eternally thank my Dad for taking me and my 15 yr old brother to that show then. Songs like this one and a vast majority of their catalogue will always have a special place in my heart.

I’m in my 60s and no kid. This video brings tears to my eyes. Makes me cry. Oh what a creation is music, dance and man.
Dancing is so primitive and so amusing to primitive minds.

I was fortunate enough to be part of a dance mob in San Francisco at Pier 39, we rehearsed for two every day for over a month to make sure we had our moves ready, it was fun to do and we had a great dance instructor!!! There were about twenty-five or thirty of us dancing to this song, I have never felt so much a part of something, it was a real high feeling, I always wondered why we can't just all get togeather and let ourselves go with the flow, it was such a spiritually up lifting feeling I wish I could dance with the whole world.🎼😁🌎🎵🎵🎵

Interesting to hear that you have taken part in a flash mob. But I find it a little difficult to believe that in such instances the mobs are actually hearing the exact piece of music that videos of such events claim. Forgive me for being such a cynic, but my earlier comments on this page explain why I have such doubts -
"...are all these disparate groups really listening to ELO's "All Over The World" as they dance? Or in fact to different pieces of music altogether? I'd love to believe it is the former, but you'd need to have some pretty powerful speakers to play the song clearly and loudly enough in each of these pretty large public spaces - a railway concourse, open air squares in city centres, etc....seems a little unlikely. Who actually directs the action (it can't just flow without cock-ups and mistakes - somebody must surely have to shout "stop, stop...lets do that bit again..." Well, who? And wouldn't that detract from the "surprise" on the rest of the faces? And just where are the audio amplifiers anyway?"

The music you hear is dubbed in in post production ..
Flash mob choreography is also adjusted in post production as needed to correctly correspond to the music being added .. Adjustments are constant to keep dance and music synced ..
There is music on site you dance to , granted nothing like what you hear on the video..
If your a musician you know that when you goof you keep playing as most will not ever know the faux pas .. You do not ever stop playing when performing !.
The same with dancing , you don’t stop just keep going ..
Most flash mobs are multiple camera video recordings in which most mistakes are edited out and the best scenes are used to make the video ..
The better the musician/dancer the fewer the mistakes ; easy songs therefore have no mistakes ..
Very good musicians can play difficult music with no mistakes ; same with dancers ..

I bought the soundtrack to Xanadu of which this song originates in 1988, about 8 years after the movie came out, and all I did was play this song a lot back then, and I'm pleased to see comments from everyone who still appreciates good music. Saw ELO in 2019, and it blew me away when Jeff Lynne played this song as part of the concert; everybody jammed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband & I saw them in August 2018 and it was the absolute best concert of our lives!

I can't help but agree with everyone who has said that the entire world needs so much more of this, with people of varied backgrounds and cultures, too, all coming together to embrace good music and the good feelings of oneself and your neighbor, too. In the 1980's I was in my 20's and the world was a so much nicer place, we were poorer , but the music and the humanity was so so much more than the world of today.
