Could you guys make a webinar on the file data type. Specifically the path reference for that. Also regarding how to work with the action of open file

Hi Yidi, we cover that in-depth during the latter part of this webinar: Automated Document Generation in AppSheet th-cam.com/video/dDyO9f9wEeo/w-d-xo.html

@@AppSheetTraining the part 2 of that webinar covers it somewhat but you don't end up being successful in linking up the file. If you could please made a video covering that more, it would be appreciated

The file reference behavior is inconsistent. I think it has to do with different behind the scenes functionality in AppSheet. I may need to reach out to AppSheet Support and see if they can suggest a better methodology.

Is there a limit on the placement of data in the UI design? The list design is pretty limited.

are you ask if (1)there is UI constraints on displaying the list or (2)is there a limit to the amount of data?
1). In an Enum (or enum list) you have the option between Dropdown(w/ a text search) and buttons.
In a list view you have the options between Table, Deck and Card View Types
2). There is no limit to amount of data. How ever all the data is loaded on sync so if you have 100 of thousands of rows we suggest using USER SETTINGS to limit the data being brought into the app. Like only showing data from this year/month, Only data related to current user (unless user is an admin), etc.
