Instant happiness and merriment! One of my favorites! I love Mairead's delightful whoop and even enjoy hearing Megan being introduced to sing another favorite! Thank you for uploading!
This is my favourite FAVOURITE Irish song. I’m an illustrator and obsessed with Ireland 🥰 And writing a webcomic based in NI, this is great inspiration for it.
Had me in tears for a time there, such excellent execution of the lyrics, massive Love and Respect from the land of Oz (Scott's of the Lightning brought my family to it! good 100 years ago). Peace and loved it.
I loved the original lineup as much as the next fan but, oh man, this current lineup is my favourite, they just seem so much more Celtic rather than just a showcase of Irish talent?
Да тоје кључна ствар што их чини много више него од класичних певачица. Имају велику љубав како међусобно тако према људима. Похваљујем и остале из оркестра, и иза бине.
I’ve seen them 3 times, and it’s been a different lineup each time. My God Almighty it doesn’t matter. I praise God that they are still around. This is the most AWESOMEST music around.
This song is a wonderfully delightful, uplifting experience. Combined with last year's members, I have no words to express the joy I have felt. Time is change, but I will miss beloved Eabha as part of the group. I affectionately refer to her as "the voice of Ireland", displayed so well in her solos and this song. This version of Sive will forever be one of my favorites, closer to my heart than I can say.
Theres no doubt in my mind that from the shetland islands to the southern tip of kerry our ancient heritage shared is just amazing .I play fiddle and the talent is just so uplifting .I see these girls and scottish july fowlis just pure magic .The Celts have some deep heart felt emotions that can be used for positive and well the other to .but celts carry this talent gene,
Wow Éabha, you nailed that triplet at 2:27. And here I am, struggling to play them on the violin. I imagine that it is quite a bit more difficult to sing them.
Always nice when the Irish get performers from other great cultures to perform together. I loved the Chieftains in China album - Chine trad instruments are so close to Irish. Sad as far as I know this album is the only notable Chinese-Irish collaboration.
I thought the name "Sadhbh" was pronounced "Sau", not "Sive" (which is how it's spelled) in this song specifically! For that matter, that is how they say it!
@@tonymolloy6165 apparently the tradition is to say "Sau"/"Hau" in this song specifically, which I'm pretty sure they do, and I suppose the spelling "Sive" is a bad Anglicization
@@NiennaFan1 Yes it's just an anglicization and it's probably as close as you can get. Think of Meadhbh Ní Maolcatha, Meadhbh is usually anglicized to Meave again the dh is silent and the bh is the v sound.
@@NiennaFan1 No, bh is the v sound in irish. In the irish alphabet you only have 18 letters unlike the 26 in english. So no J, K, Q, V, W, X, Y and Z. Take another example you're familiar with, Éabha. Éabha ( note the accent over the É ) is pronounced as follows: Éa as Ae that is a long A bh as v a as a that is a short a So Éabha is pronounced in irish as Ava. Then there is the added complication of irish dialects. This song is from the west of Ireland ( Connemara ) so they are singing it in the Connemara dialect of irish which is different to the Munster dialect where I'm from.
I miss this lineup. This tour was the first Celtic woman concert I saw
They are truly an Irish treasure that has been willingly shared with the world - Thank You!

Such a morale boosting song with it's very happy beat.

im like that lady at 0:38 haha... its fun when you see them perform at a show!!
I loved the original lineup as much as the next fan but, oh man, this current lineup is my favourite, they just seem so much more Celtic rather than just a showcase of Irish talent?
Yes, they all seem like they really like each other, too. I like this group so much, plus Megan Walsh has an amazing voice and I like her personality.

My go-to group to listen to.
This is amazing! Mairead has improved a lot since she first started in my opinion.
AMO Celtic Woman 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
There's something so wonderful about this song, I think it's the band and backup singers onstage with the girls all together, it's so cute

I don’t understand but I loved 🥰
Never thought I would accept anyone in Mairead’s place but Tara has completely won me over. Love them both.

Amezing! I loved this!
I miss Ireland.

Thank you for uploading these. Please upload more!
That lady at the end has a lisp but can still sing perfectly (or maybe she's lisping the song too and I don't know because I don't speak Irish)

Does anybody know what the song means?
I thought the name "Sadhbh" was pronounced "Sau", not "Sive" (which is how it's spelled) in this song specifically! For that matter, that is how they say it!
It;s pronounced Sauv. The dh is silent and the bh is the v sound in irish. There is no v letter in irish

Two men already sniffing around the young'n.
Yeah, this song loses its appeal a little when you know it's about grown men lusting after a ten-year-old
Może się komuś spodoba???
