Thanks for the great video. After watching this I feel as though I can tackle this on my 810. Cheers.

How to replace bulbs in a (wonderful!) vintage Yamaha CA-810 Natural Sound amplifier.

Thanks, I had my CA-810 apart today cleaning the switches and pots and couldn't figure out how to get to the bulbs. Does it seem like the foam is just there to block light leaking out the top vent?

+kasm279 Going from memory and the video, yup. Although it does seem a bit excessive so I also wonder if there was another reason.

Thanks. Also, I'm having issues finding 4mm bulbs. The closest I can find are T-1 1/4 bulbs, which are (1 1/4)*(1/8) inches, or 0.15625 inches. 4mm is 0.15748, is the rubber boot flexible enough to allow that tiny difference?

Does the amp have any ICs in the audio amplification and preamplification section?

Hi S1. I sold this last year, and I don't remember! :-( However, Google is your friend!
