    I don’t get the dislikes, I mean it’s a man talking about his passion in life. He isn’t bragging or saying look what I have and you don’t. These guys share some of the best bikes in the world with us and they give us the opportunity to own them. I don’t know I guess I am old school, if a man shares something special with you then you show that man a little respect. Love the bikes guys, I guess some people will hate on anything just for the fun of it.

      He is a true American hero,...the savior of a passing culture. Historian, preservationist, legal champion, craftsman of a fleeting art, this guy seriously does it all. People want things, the disconnect on the internet leaves some with just enough to let their ugly side show, and they take it out on the easy target, in this case a man of passionate involvement in this truly amazing gift to anyone who loves these bikes. UNOBTAINIUM,...... I say he is all that and more, because he has a fiscal responsibility to keep a MUSEUM alive too. You Go Kenny K,...it took me a fast moment to understand the whole picture of what you do,....NEVER STOP doing it. That goes for everyone else and their dreams too,...we just happen to share the same one,....and we should all share nice.

      Axeman thanks brother I really appreciate your kind words...this whole project is a labor of love. I left a solid six figure 25 year career for this and invested 7.5 million (4 borrowed..at 4.25%) to create this place and work round the clock at it 4 the last 10 years. No regrets. The results are in God's hands.

      @@hondaxl250k0 Actually, they did. They sold 250cc bikes for both road tracks and off-road. In fact both or their 250"s could be bought with "racing spares" kits. The "scrambler" version was sold with spares, including a set of struts to replace the rear shocks for flat-track racing. The Diana could be bought with spares that included jetting and megaphone exhaust system for road-racing. They didn't look like the video example, but they were racers just the same.

    • @doylegaines1319

      According to wikipedia, Ducati produced 250, 350 and 450cc desmo models for the public in the late 60's. Also, demodromic valve actuation was available for both the wide-case and narrow case singles at some earlier time in the 60's. The Mark3 Diana was an extremely fast 250cc street bike according to period road tests, as well as being a favorite for production road-racers. I have a hard time believing the Diana was so fast without a desmodromic head. My point is, how can you tell whether or not it's a desmo when so little of the bike appears to be standard?

    • @Mad-Duk_Machine_Werkes
      @Mad-Duk_Machine_Werkes ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@doylegaines1319 Because I have been restoring, riding and collecting Ducati singles for over 40 years - I eat, breathe and shit Ducati Single cylinder motorcycles, they never made Desmo-Head NARROWCASE singles available to the public, only factory One-off racers, once the widecase bikes came out, then the avg Joe could buy himself one and they started to "Mass-Produce" them, so to speak, prior to widecase singles theres was only a few dozen Desmo heads ever made, and THIS bike aint one of them-

      @@Mad-Duk_Machine_Werkes -Then it's not possible to retro fit a desmo head to an earlier narrow-case engine?

    • @motovecchio
      @motovecchio 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@doylegaines1319 A 250/350 Desmo general production head from a widecase can be retrofitted on a narrowcase 25/350 without issues or other modifications.
      However, the bike in the video is fitted with a spring valve head wearing a spring valve cam cover. That’s the part that says Ducati 250 above the spark plug. A spring valve cam cover is shaped than a DESMO cam cover because it only needs to cover the ends of two upper rocker arm shafts to retain them. A DESMO cover is larger and more trapezoid in shape to cover the ends of the two additional lower rocker arm shafts (4 rocker arm shafts in total for the four rocker arms) to retain them.
      Desmo cam covers on singles only say DESMO. Even if you cannot read the cover, the different shape of the cam cover makes it very easy to identify the head as either spring valve or Desmo. Desmo heads didn’t enter general production until model year 1968.
