This Rigid generator is built Tough like GENERAC..... And very good in quality. I bought new 5-years ago...... I only do one pull and it starts right up every time every Year.... Although Never have a chance to use for Black out yet. Now I build a shed for my Generator
Just curious, if the water is already hot, why would you want to heat it? It's a water heater, thusly named for that reason, to heat water..... Not a hot water heater
Just Fixed My Neighbors he only ran his to test it out when he first got it. and left the fuel in it for about 2-3 yrs Yeah to my surprise there was nothing on the bottom of the float bowl but the Jets were clogged solid . but another issue was it had poor Fuel flow from the tank. so looking in the tank there was a Dead insect over the fuel tube in the Tank ???? Washed out the Tank and after a couple of Pulls it fired right up this time I shut it down by turning off the fuel and let it run dry
Nice camera work. Home Depot has these generators and I'm considering one. Also have Westinghouse 6000 online for the same price. But W. makes their own motors, 3 year warranty, supposedly clean power like this?, but no hour meter or 12V. output.
s cook I did a re-start after the summer of sitting and to change out the old fuel....still humming along fine. But, it still has little hours on it so far, haven't needed to use it yet for the house, surprisingly. For the price and clean power, I am happy so far---with the exception of it not running properly when I brought it home---all fixed easily though, and better than returning it!
desertdualsport Read the manual. and the W. manual. Both tell you to adjust the valves. Neither give the valve clearance. Ridgid manual says outside running temp is 24 degrees F to 105 degrees F. Westinghouse 6000 manual does not give an operating temperature. I'll be eventually running the generator in the western desert. Surpassing both those temp extremes.
Don't buy this generator. Tried installing a muffler on it. But the motor is so noisy muffler made no difference. Tires leak yellow powder and are going flat. Gcfi outlets suck. Handle folds in front of outlets. And on and on.
+Cem Aydin I did not scope this one, as all I read was that it uses the same standard generator head that most cheaper units do, and they are good for a clean output. When I tested it on the house, I let all of our electronics run for about 10 hours on it with no ill side effects. But, each component does have its own power supply to clean anything up...... Florescent bulbs never jittered either, I would trust it.
I have a homelite 5000 which works great, I have used it like 2 or 3 times during outages to run frigerator and TVs and computers and stuff with no trouble, but after learning some about 'dirty power' I'm thinking of swapping it out
Why do you have a hot water heater? Most people just have a water heater because they don't have hot water,... Never heard of heating hot water,...must be specific to your area,...
will NEVER purchase another RIDGID product as long as I live. Last year, I purchased Ridgid's Table Saw & Miter Saw, both with gravity rise stands. That was about $1100 for the pair and I'm not a wealthy man. The Table saw started throwing sparks after 1 hour. It's been in the shop for 5 months. I called the repair shop and they told me that Ridgid is pretty slow to respond. Check Amazon reviews. Many users are reporting Ridgid Motor problems. Perhaps just a bad batch of motors, but there is NO EXCUSE for anything to be in the shop for 5 freak'ing months. Ignore their lifetime warranty. All that means is you will NEVER see the tool again in your lifetime.

Good job
Great video bro. Glad you were able to make your own repairs.
Ray Evans A lot easier than taking it back.....sometimes, you just have to do it yourself!
I hear ya!
Very nice video - informative and direct. Well done!
Tumbleweed Taylor Thanks!
nice. Yamaha engines are rock solid

At present I have an older Generac 3500 which will not run my Craftsman 1-2 h.p. /33 gallon air compressor.

You said it got clean sine wave. Did you measure or just assuming. I am concerned about electronics. I know what the sticker says.

70carlton so cold here in CT that you need one...I know, got me lol
Hot isn’t describing the water. It’s describing the heater. The heater is THAT good. :-)
Needed hot boiling water

That sounds no good!
has zero to do with Generators
