That is what most people do when switching to Linux: 1. Run a Virtual Machine on Windows or Mac. 2. Try to run a Computer with Linux live USB. 3. Install Linux on a Computer old or new. When the Windows machine is getting old, install a Windows VM on the Linux system. Maybe there comes a time when you notice that you haven't used it for a long time and updating the VM is getting time consuming. The last step is when you delete Windows of your life because you don't need it anymore.

Hello,
perhaps you could do a Video on KaiOS? KaiOS can be rooted, there is even an alternative liberated Rom called GerdaOS.
I use it on my Nokia 8110 4g, a very pleasant experience.
Hey Rob, I just found a switch on Android that will shut off all your sensors. (Credit to a TH-cam video). How do you feel this improves security?
Thank you, this video is awesome!
Hi, any opinion about the Little Snitch software for Mac ?
I use it and love it... Helps block known offenders trying to tie up my bandwidth... Pure genius... Would love to know if there is something smarter out there as this is an older tool....
Is that secure to use libem 5 with vm of linage os? And limit to linage access to mic, camera, bt and gps?
Um.. Small point Sir. At 21:05 you said you had Firefox open, but it was Chrome and not Firefox. You can tell from the windows bar under it :)
great tutorial rob.
The Manjaro link for "discussion on how to license Windows 10 in a Virtual Machine" is invalid.
Hi Rob, first thing I ever run after setting up an Ubuntu VM is Sudo ufw enable. If it's another distro, it's Sudo systemctl ufw enable and afterwards Sudo ufw status verbose
I understand this is a year old video but, do you still believe using an email client is more secure than using a web based service that requires a password (2-step verification) in a secure browser? The way I understand email clients is the download the email as an attachment and store this information on your desktop for anyone to see or has the ability to hack your computer (gov. agency, thieves etc.).
Super helpful! Thanks!
Dear Rob, I have a vps box in a cloud. Is it possible to run virtual desktops on the cloud server? What would be the steps. Ubuntu 20
Yes of course you can do that.
Hello Brother
Very good video and thanks for take the time to this type of videos
quit question
Can you please tell us the music you use ??????
Super nice and relax music, very good choice for this type of video
Rob, excellent video! QUESTION: if you are using a hardened FireFox browser optimized for privacy or even the TOR browser, what is the impact on your privacy when using a private window? In other words is their leakage between the private window and the main? I ask because compartmentalizing use cases in different browsers can become challenging and I want to make sure I understand how this works.
Your browsing sessions won't be associated with you. That's because you (might be) logged into Google account on normal window, and websites with Google Analytics might use it to serve you ads
If you are using cookie manager or auto delete plugin, you probably won't need to care
Can I install Linux mint with Cinnamon desktop in VM and do I still call it Ubuntu? Thanks for the great video.
you can install any distro you want that's for the same processor
After a year i got this recommendation damnit is there any android virtual machine so we could use in. Android phones ?
Regarding the network adapter in VirtualBox, which setting would you recommend, Bridged Adapter or NAT?
NAT is better, you can buy a wifi adapter, add the usb device to VM and use it to connect to your network. Using Bridge mode you'll be tracked easily.
Excellent ❤
vm on an android phone....???? useful ???...have win 7 and wanna try win 10 ...can i do it on a vm without loosing my win 7 ??? run parallel
Android apps already run in a VM (Android Run time or previously Dalvik Run Time)

Awesome!! Thanks!!
I watched many videos of yours, but you never talked about kali linux.whats the problem?
Kali Linux is an offensive hacking toolkit. I use it. It is not a Privacy OS.
@@robbraxmantech thank you for reply i appreciate it.
Install what first Whonix or Virtual Box or some other OS then Whonix > Virtual Box ?
Excellent as usual!
Did you forget about the "Guest Additions CD" install?
linux doesn’t need it
If you want to run vista, use 5.2.x.
@@rorymorgan6091 Maybe not for video and audio support, but is it not needed for the shared bidirectional clipboard and possibly some other things?
Great info ... Thank you !! Rob what is your opinion of key scramblers for typing online ???!
why not just encrypted messaging apps?
@@robbraxmantech Sometimes contact forms are needed to reach people as the first step to communicate so option for not using conventional messaging available.
Yo Braxman, you've never answered any of my questions? Are you more active in interacting with your audience on another platform like LBRY?
Whats your opinion about bitdefender box?
I wan't to build a private phone for sensitive data but also have to keep at least instagram and whatsapp running.
I don't want to carry two phones at the same time... Any ideas on how to solve that problem?
Is it possible to run a Virtual machine on an Android aosp or maby to remotely access another phone with it that stays at home?
Android already runs all apps in a VM (Android Run Time / Dalvik)
Does anyone know if running linux thru wsl (windows subsystem for linux) would have any benefits for privacy or security? Is it as safe as something like virtualbox?
Nicely said
Interesting. What about the opposite? Having Linux running a Windows VM? Thanks as always Rob.
Yes you can do that too.
Yes but, why would you? Then the system on your bare metal will be icky and spy on you
*Can you talk about Android virtual machine like vmos*
@Ray N can you give a link to a tutorial, I can't find any
Android VM examples: Anbox
@@robbraxmantech Oh Rob, could you make a tutorial for installing Anbox on Ubuntu Touch? A few days ago I installed Anbox on Ubuntu desktop with a lot of sweat and research. It worked finally. With Ubuntu Touch I fear to break my phone. A tutorial would be so welcome!!! Thank you!
I have and android phone, and virtual box, anbox run on Linux. I wanted something which created a android vm inside android. Vmos is something that can do that, I was looking for a few alternatives to it.
