Every fishing tournament starts with a drag race...you have to be the first one to where they're NOT BITING !!! Been running my 19 ft. Xpress with a C150 Yamaha for over 20 years...fastest recycled beer can on the lake !
Dude, I love that you are wearing a helmet. Smart, and it looks BADASS. I own an Xpress H20B Bay, freaking love those Xpress Boats Hyper Lift Hulls. So much better than a glass boat.
The thing I like the most is less up-keep than a glass rig. No need for waxing every couple of months. I can also take it in shallow water, not have to worry about stumps, tree limbs, etc. scratching the boat.
You're an absolute beast of a driver.. on your other videos when you run 85+ with no big waves why do you have to turn the wheel so much? wind? to steady the walk? I've never been in a boat that fast that's why I ask.
Thanks for compliment J. Once a padded hull boat gets up on pad, it tends to want to chine walk. Lots of variables contribute to chine walk. Weight in boat not balanced equally, motor height, prop, set-up, etc. The small bumps of the steering wheel come from experience and seat time driving at higher speeds. The key is to correct it before it starts to chine walk thus the small bumps of the steering wheel that you see. Hope this helps.
Holy hell, nice piloting! I have no idea how you kept that thing pegged coming across that wake. You had my butt puckered. Do you drop the motor all the way down overtaking the wake? I always get scared.
No, in my experience I try to keep the bow up when crossing wakes (depending on size and speed). When the bow falls is when inexperienced drivers get in trouble.
@@bobbychiasson5561 Thanks for the reply. I always think about those videos of boats crossing a wake, the prop coming out of the water and the boat getting spun sideways. I just need more seat time, apparently. Or bigger balls.

Awesome boat and driving! I've got a G3 HP200 with a 200 Yamaha and my next boat will be an Xpress X21
Im looking pretty hard at one of these boats. Is there anything you don't like about it? What do you love the most about the boat?

J Stokes it helps if you turn the wheel if you have to go across waves sideways
J Stokes the boat starts to chine walk and he's steering as well as powering through it .....he knows what he's doing..lol
85 plus my ass
No he's got a video where he is running 87 mph this boat will fly and he has the skills to drive too! Watching and learning 🌻
White knuckle to the best spot first
How fast do you get tournament morning?
Normally around 84-86.
