    I received 8 Xiaflex injections. The Urologist did no other treatment. No diagnostic test. I have had 0% improvement. The Urologist is now retired a very wealthy man and I am still suffering. Are all Urologist this arrogant and negligent of how to treat a patient. Xiaflex injections are horribly painful and in my experience, completely ineffective.

      I was given xiaflex as well, my uro was very arrogant too, 1st round caused a small hematoma but this then seemed to lead to more scar tissue and pain and more loss. Absolute nightmare, wish I would have seen this video 2 years ago.

      @@map0824 it is really horrible. He totally brushed me off while at the same time making me feel like I was just being a baby. In the later stages I was stabilizing with a 30-35° curve losing almost an inch, I was only average before. He encouraged me to start dating. I was still having alot of pain. Then 1 day i was with my now ex girlfriend and the pain was so bad like throbbing and I was very careful. It seemed to really agrevate it and this story can go on but, he said the only other option was xiaflex and to be positive about it. He went on like he was the best and does very high volume. Anyway so many things, ended up doing the xiaflex and first dose messed me up bad still have pain everyday at the injection site and some new areas, ofcourse more girth and length loss and more curve. My life has been a living hell for the past 3 years. Feel like I will never be with a woman again and be able to have a family. I might have not done xiaflex if I wouldn't have paid for 4 viles out of pocket the year before, they said xiaflex was being pulled out of Canada so I should buy it now, cost me 11k cad not including the doc visits. I am still young so I feel like I have been robbed of my future and I think about suicide everyday, if it wasn't for my mom and sisters, I probably wouldn't be here, it would destroy them and they have already been through so much with losing my father.. it also makes it worse to have to let go of a woman u love because it is just torment to be with her and feel pain when trying to make love. I just wanted a simple life with a family of my own.

    But then should Extension Devices be avoided? Seems like you say that but then it's not listed in last part of the video as an option we should avoid. I thought that a good way of treatment would be ESWL in combination with light but disciplined use of an extension device.

    • @NovusCenters
      @NovusCenters  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      YES they should be avoided because they do not address the root cause of Peyronie's Disease - Scar Tissue.

      These people are out of their minds. The traction therapy device that I recommended earlier was developed at the mayo clinic, and it could be used in conjunction with shockwave therapy. The stretching portion of the treatment increases the length, and the counter. Bending portion of this helps straighten things out, regardless of whether or not Plaque is still present.

Videos like this help me understand why i made the right choice.

      @@Spannerface I can't comment on other people's experience, maybe they did a different treatment or maybe it changes on each person and they're curvature/source of pain. My experience was pretty painful during the shockwave sessions, but only during it. As soon as I left the urologist's office, there wasn't any pain (only the first time because I was shook). I did like 6 sessions I think, and with each one it hurt less and less (maybe I got used to it). So yeah, if you're looking to go into it, it might hurt but don't be scared, it's only like 5 minutes per session. Like I said before, it didn't help with curvature in my case, but it did help with erection pain.

    • @needlestack9797
      @needlestack9797 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @lautix951 Hiya, had to weigh in here. There are different types and strengths of shockwave therapy (EWST) and it is used for breaking down kidneys stones and things like that on a much stronger setting (and usually with a different type of gun head too). I had 3 treatments but they were 20-25 mins each and it was a clinic specifically for men's health type issues (it wasn't easy to find in the UK, there's only a few units). I would describe a tingly, prickly sensation which they started off on a low setting and dialled it up through the session. It wasn't comfortable but not fully painful. Results wise, it had a big impact on pain but no effect on curvature. The pain relief wasn't really permanent and came back within maybe a couple of months.
      I get the same sort of pain relief if I push erections really hard maybe once a month or something, which is not easy if you you get pain with the erections, as you have that pulling you back. So I have been trying the topically applied version of Alphostadil (used as an injection, Caverject for artificial erections) which is called Vitaros in this country, and is an erection inducer and will bring it on hard regardless of pain! I found when my Andrologist did erection tests with Caverject, I would be pain free for weeks so I'm trying to have this as a backup. Daily dose Tadalafil helps with this also.
      Also, there are many types of surgery, the original Nesbitt procedure is just barbaric and chops out chunks of the Corpus Cavernosum to correct shape. This will have big side effects, and make erections struggle. There are various modifications to this procedure now and I am currently in the process of setting up to have a version where they use permanent sutures to pinch together the outer layer of Tunica Albuginea, without going deep and cutting the sponge. Many of the potential side effects arise from the severity of the surgery, other versions mitigate some of that, but it is worth mentioning that surgery is unlikely to help pain, just the shape, hence me seeking pain relieving methods in combination.
      Make sure to do your homework before seeing any Urologist/Andrologist (try to the see latter if you can) as they can withhold information and I can't stress enough how important it is to get some solid, specialised mental health support because it really helps. It's seen medically as something that isn't going to kill you, anyone that HASNT suffered with it just doesn't understand how destructive it is on the psyche, I include other people with penises but especially those without one!

      @@TH-camfucku Looks like they use Xiaflex. As stated in the video, we've had first hand experience with patients that have LOST INCHES off their penis from Xiaflex injections. Now having it done professionally at a clinic lowers the chance of misuse, there are still many dangerous potential side effects that can take place.
      Xiaflex has a BOXED WARNING about the risk of penile fracture or other serious penis injury when used to treat Peyronie’s disease. A boxed warning is the most serious warning from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It alerts doctors and patients to side effects that may be dangerous.
      When used to treat Peyronie’s disease, Xiaflex is injected into the plaque (fibrous scar tissue) in your penis that’s making your penis bend. When injected in this way, Xiaflex may damage the tubes in your penis called the corpora. This could lead to corporal rupture (fracture of the penis) when you get an erection.
      Acoustic Soundwave (or Shockwave) Therapy has no side effects, no risks, and can be performed at-home with our invention The Phoenix at OrderThePhoenix.com
      Incidents with Xiaflex can result in the need for surgery to reverse the results, and even that may not be effective and comes with its own set of risks, as all surgery does.
