FYI I didn’t find your video from searching Spark plug replacement, it came up for me when I was looking for Coil plug/tabs remover or how to remove those stubborn tabs off the Coils. I am working in a 2005 SRX And tho this video saids CTS Ibelieve. This is the EXACT SETUP FOR THE OR MY 2005 SRX. I’ve watched a lot of videos and let me tell you, Your definitely no doubt the best video on changing the spark plugs and the absolute life saver from damage to these coil clips woosh!! THX YOU THX YOU!!❤😊PS. You may want to add 2004-2009 SRX To your header and watch your views grow😁 You can Thank me later, just kidding! But really add it to your header.

Hey brother first off man your awesome and very detailed and I’ve learned a lot as I’m just an average mechanic. I’ve noticed you worked on lotta STS‘s and CTS Cadillacs 3.6 and I have one and I’m having some issues with it it’s running real rough so I put new spark plugs in it did it do them cool packs because I had to order them they will be here this Tuesday still running rough though and I smell a strong smell of gas I was thinking that it was because of the spark from the core packs not igniting the fuel? Also there is some kind of security alarm system going off at like makes a buzzing saw sound and it’s really annoying I hope the call packs will fix the ignition problem but I’m kind of concerned about the security issue hopefully it’s not a computer problem? Any suggestions oh and I also put a new crankshaft position sensor in it I put one new injector on and cylinder six.. I hope you answer lol I hope to look forward to hearing from you thank you sir have a great evening
was the crank position sensor oem if not that could easily cause rough idle

@@JaboTheMechanic so we replaced the coil for cylinder 2 where we had the misfire reading. Also replaced all plugs. Now I'm getting a flashing check engine light and misfire on 1,3,&5. Any ideas!?
@@jessicabell2417 i would double check your intake gasket. Did you reuse them or put new ones

I have a ? How do u get part of the coil off a spark plug a piece broke off n it's hard to get my socket on the spark plug the video help me perfect got every thing done but that one plug

Hey bud i left that pcv valve off the housing boot on accident,in was driving around for a day,in now my engine has a lil shake an want go over 30 miles per hour now, any advice...
Thanks for the helpful video. I'm replacing the valve covers because I found oil on some spark plugs. My question is where do the spark plug seals go? I dont want them getting wet with oil again. I want to buy the gaskets that include the spark plugs seals but I can't find where those go. Please help. thanks!
So when you order your valve cover set they should come with spark plug grommets those are the tube seals for the spark plugs you have to take off the valve cover flip it upside down and pry off the the tube seals and then replace using a piece of wood for seal installer that could be rented from AutoZone hope this helps
@@JaboTheMechanic thank you. I didnt realize those seals were on the valve cover. They're hard and almost look like part of the cover. They break when I pull then off with pliers.

I wrecked my 2011 STS 3.6 LLT so I went bought a 2008 CTS LY7 beautiful car with a blown engine...I was just gonna swap out the motor and transmission from the STS to the CTS.Will that work?

My husband changed to spark plugs but now it shakes what can it be??
I have a 2012 Cadallac cts..that just had the service traction control message come up when I was driving..when I hooked up the code reader it read po305..where or what would you do personally to start..would you replace all spark plugs first and then go from there? Thanks for any unput.
How many miles are on the vehicle
@@JaboTheMechanic 86000 miles are on it..i bought it last August and have put only 1500 miles on it..i barely drive it..was gonna trade it in for a truck and two days before I was set to go to a dealership this happened with the service traction control and then the code 305..
So most likely its either the ignition coil or the spark plug

Is it ok to buy all 6 ignition coils and 6 spark plugs do them all together or just buy the ones I need ? 2008 Cadillac CTS 3.6
For the sparks plugs replace them all but as for the ignition coil replace only the ones that are bad

Hello how did you get the manifold out without detaching the 2 vacuum fittings?
I did take them off. They have a little tab to remove easily

Its a vacuum hose. Can you send me a picture of it
@@JaboTheMechanic yes for sure the only other issue I've run into is that now other cylinders are coding p0355, p0300, p0303 and p305 and the car wont crank 🤦🏽♀️
I just changed my coils and spark plugs in my 2005 CTS, 3.6. i had a misfire #1 PO301. and couldnt smog it in Calif.
Now I cleared the codes and it is showing DTC PO351 thru PO356 ignition coil #1 thru #6. and the car runs great..
how do i clear these codes?
Either the connection between the coil and the connector or the coils are bad
If you bought cheap coils than that could cause that to as well

What would be the problem is it starts but then it’s shuts off.
