I have the same Schecter guitar and swapped the pickups with Fishman Modern Fluence pickups. Huge Difference and well worth the money. Thanks for all the years of testing stuff for us!! Rock on!!

The TDW def saturates more into the front end of an amp with some breakup and you can squeeze quite a bit more gain out of it if you push the level more. Sounds great as a preamp with that King in Yellow in front of it, however!
PS: I had an Amped2 for a moment and those things are awesome pedal platforms.

This pedal sounds amazing! Lichtlaerm Audio is one of the best pedal makers if not the best. I have the Medusa and had the Gehenna for a while and I agree nothing that dude makes is a miss. Only reason I did not keep the Gehenna was because I was trying to get a more old school 90's scooped Deathmetal tone to blend into the Medusa's effect loop so I went with an Ampeg VH140C clone pedal and it combined with the chainsaw of the Medusa and all of it's features is insane.

Yep, just ordered the pedal! Going to get brutal over here. Man, I am really digging my Schecter E-1 Cesar Soto; definitely want to check out some other E shaped guitars.
I have had my Schecter C-1 Classic since 08 and its been beat to hell and it is one of my favorite guitars ever. Schecter quality super underrated!
Agree.. I just love my E1 sls elite , its just the best explorer shape there is... plays fantastic but i had to swap the fluence pup on bridge cause it was very noisy...
I changed the EMG 85 in the bridge out for an EMG 81 in the Soto; it just sounds better for the style I play. I don't have much experience with the Fishman moderns.
It's here and man, I am really glad that I got it. Currently, I am running it in front of the clean channel on my PRS MT15 and it sounds killer. They did a really great job on this pedal.
So you're telling me they made a pedal that can achieve sought after scooped mid metal tone, then stop on a boost to bring the mids back for leads? That's like the dream setup for me, to have like an And Justice for All like rhythm tone and a Peavey like in your face mids for leadish riffery (more iommi than shred like for me).
I'd like to think more rhythm tone to chorus, or everything else except rhythm tone behind leads.
Pedal sounds killer and I'm also a sucker for pointy explorer inspired guitars. Got a Xiphos 7 last year and love it. It's a shockingly comfortable shape to play... just hope you can keep those points away from destructive objects 😂

Having watched other videos on this pedal you made it sound good. I guess the guy who came up with the pedal uses it in front of the amp but it sounded like mud. The pedal sounds like a Marshall which a lot of old school metal heads used to use.

Hi, a while ago you made a video about this pedal Lichtlaerm Gehenna 2.0 Distortion. I'm searching for a good distortion pedal and everytime i think this is the one, there's a new video about next thing. So i was wondering can you help me out 🙂? At first i was thinking to buy Lichtlaerm Gehenna 2.0 Distortion but now there's this one. Which one is the better choise? Or maybe another distortion pedal that will do the job. I'm playing in a sludge,grungy, post-metal band (bands as reference: crowbar, baroness, mastodon). Thanks!

You need to consider shooting some IRs of the cabs in these tone demos. You're getting some killer tones and the cab is a huge part of that.

Would you say that it sounds closer to a Mark 2C+ or Mark 4? The distortion character definitely has some of the Mark series qualities about it IMO, but I think you are much more qualified to talk about that than I am.
Really hard to say. Every Mark amp I've ever owned sounded different from the last. I have a Mark IV Rev A short and Rev B long and you'd never guess they were the same amp

It’s interesting that the pedal named for distortion worship but doesn’t have a ton of gain on tap.
Simon Sludge has a page/whatever you want to call it, called Total Dissonance Worship where he posts a lot of upcoming dissonant death metal bands. I think the pedal name is a play on that.
If you push the level harder, it def has more gain on tap. :)
