Fishing for bass early spring you should try top water baits, the bass are real active this time of year and hungry. Top water baits will work best during pre spawn before they make their nests.
I am pretty new to worm fishing, have tried a few times but never got any from Lake Mead. I have had some success at Lake Mohave. Any hints and tips are appreciated. Thanks for sharing with us Russell!
Hi Vic. The easiest spot would be Upper Government wash. Just drive down to the water. The spot in this video is 33 Hole (Pitch fork Area) where you hike down to the water.
Hi Cesar! Hearing that makes me sad. I used anchovies in this video for the stripers. But they seem to be harder to catch in the summer months. Try using earthworms or corn and try targeting catfish and carp instead? th-cam.com/video/FLWeFqdHbTE/w-d-xo.html
Finally Fishing oh nice okay! Thanks for the tip man! So many peeps are it very telling on how they catch. You feed just popped up on my scroll and I had to watch and like you videos!! One last question what pound test line u using?
Hi Rene. This spot does not have any roads from the parking areas. Any travel by vehicle would be extreme off road. I would however, like to encourage NOT to do so. This would be extremely damaging to the local plants and critters. It would also be hard for rescue and emergency services to reach if the need arises.
Good vid man! New subscriber here, I'm new to the Vegas area, just moved from Alaska so I’m doin research on the fishing options around here, if you ever want a fishing buddy hit me up! 🤙🏽
It is always impressive how much information you provide in your videos. I have lived in Las Vegas my whole life and you know so much more.
Thank you Andrew! I doubt that I know more than you, I just have lots of free time. And that is why I share it with everyone.
I was across from you around the 11th through 12th minute, saw you were filming. I'll say hello next time 👍
You made some good casts! Please do say Hi next time.
Good job Vernon. I’m too lazy to walk that far LOL. I’m glad you did it for me.
Would have love to see this spot in the 80's with the lake full.
Went there couple of weeks ago. No more water in that area
Hi rhey simon. Yeah completely dried up, I have a newer more recent video on the spot. Water is getting real low in Lake Mead.
Looks like LV bay. The parking area has 3 branches. This being the left one.
That's the spot Menuki, but it's the central branch down.
The hike down ain’t bad but back up ugh! Had some very good days in 33HOLE one day was a 20-25 smallmouth day all top water!
In all fairness the hike is not bad, but like you said back up is worse. Still a fun spot for fishing.
Whats the best spot for salmon fishing around there i wanna take my kids there
Sadly Las Vegas does not have salmon fishing. Best place near by would be Oregon or Washington?

Thanks Russell. How deep in are the fish? would they hit top water lures anywhere or only near the shore?
@@FinallyFishing Depends anywhere from 3-5ft adn they would hit it anywhere.
How far is the walk down
There are several different paths you can take, but I would say half a mile. The walk down is fine but back up is kind of steep.
Also try plastic worms, bump them of the bottom with a slow retrieval.

@@FinallyFishing us a bullet weight or a jig attached to the head of the worm and slowly bounce it off the bottom.
Are you using bells even on the bait caster
Only when using baits, not with lures. Kind of like cat mentality: I fits, I sits.
Awesome and I thought I heard bells as you were reeling in
Anyways are you going to shore fish at echo bay??
Not sure when, but I am hoping to do a video at Echo Bay and one at Overton...
Where exactly are you guys fishing on lake meade plz help. I'm going out there this Sunday to fish

@@FinallyFishing thank you for the advice will try it out
Good content One of these days we gone meet up at lake mead and fish 🐠
Keep an eye out for me at the waters...
Finally Fishing sure will when is the next time you will be out there
Hard to say, it all depends on my mood and the weather. But I will be spending a lot more time out there in spring.
what kind of bait do u use bc i fish there but I don’t catch anything 😅

Success! Nice fish. Keep it up and tell us more about the kit you use. Anybody out there who would like to sponsor this talented angler?
How are u rigging you anchovies? Is it whole or you cut in half?
Hi Divers671, I cut them in half and use the heads. Here is the link if you want to see: th-cam.com/video/FybonAAklWw/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for the views and likes! I have a few different setups, but in this video I used: Spinning-rod 6 lb Fluorocarbon and Bait-caster 12 lb braid.
I have a truck can I drive there rather than walk.?

what bait did you use?
Hi Rick. I used some frozen anchovies. If you want to see how I used them, here is a video: th-cam.com/video/FybonAAklWw/w-d-xo.html
@@FinallyFishing Thank you so much
Try some Texas rigged hula grubs or top water
Thanks Moye! I have yet to catch fish on top water, but I will give it a go.

Wow, from Ice cold to the Vegas heat, what a move. But Welcome! Fishing is different here and can be tricky, but still good year-round.
@@FinallyFishing Thanks! looking forward to exploring the area and getting a line wet
