I live in the Islands and my favorite radio station for Hawaiian music is on the other end of our little island chain. I had great expectations for this little gadget and with your tutorial, clear and concise I might add, is living up to them Mahalo Nui for a very educational review.
Does it emit the music in actual stereo over FM? Many of those devices are specifying that they "play stereo music", but it is actually downmixed to mono. Thanks for the review!
I just got a 2007 jeep Cherokee and it doesn’t even have a aux plug but I ordered it earlier will it still work will just my phone and Bluetooth for good sounding music. I don’t know much about cars so I’d appreciate the help.
You simply plug this into the 12v socket. Pick an FM station on the adapter. Tune your radio into that same station. Then pair your phone to the adapter over Bluetooth and press play on your favourite music app on your phone. You should start to hear music over your car speakers. 🙌🏻
This sounds like something in the car is causing the interference. If you can, try the transmitter in a different car and see if you have the same experience. If you do it might be faulty or if you don’t there’s something in the car that isn’t shielded that’s messing with the signal perhaps.
If you plug in the AUX cord into it and the car, does it still allow you to use the steering wheel/car controls to skip songs? or do you have to use the device itself or your phone to skip songs? I know that normally when you use aux, you can't use steering wheel or car controls to skip songs but this is bluetooth also so im wondering if thats different.
Because you’re connecting the BT receiver to the phone and not the car BT per se, the wheel controllers will not work because it doesn’t know it is connected to the car. The car stereo would be running FM source so the wheel controls would control the FM station tracking etc. volume will work just fine though. Any skip tracking will be done on the adapter via the supplied buttons as shown at 4:27
There is no aux button. The button alongside the 3.5mm aux port simply turns on/off and adjusts the LED light bar emitting around the edges of the adapter. In daylight it might not be that visible.
Just tested it out, works fine at this moment! Although i did some research and found what i already was afraid of. Its just an ali-expres item wich has been dropshipped to make it 30 euro's
Yes I heard this here in the comments also. TBH a large majority of products on Amazon are like this. A large portion are made in china and can be sourced directly for much cheaper price. What I like think though is that paying the extra price is for faster shipping (the item is likely at a local warehouse - check delivery time estimate) and also much easier returns via Amazon. Sure you can buy it from AliE or Temu, but that comes with more risk if the product has the chance of facing a compatibility issue. The frustrating part is how much extra they put on some products. Sometimes it’s best not to look if this is a concern. 😂
@@CarPlayLife Yeah thats true, i bought it for 30 euro's and got it the next evening. It also works very good so i'm not that worried this time about a dropship item.
@@CarPlayLife well it just came in the mail today and i was able to just connect through bluetooth🤷♂️ its great and everything, i just wish there was a way to get rid of this annoying static sound in the background
I'm using it daily. I bought sveral FM transmitters (including Motorola) before and this is only one usable for making phone calls. This is due great noise cancelation.
@@papagalo11 , Mp3's working great .. I have a micro Sandisk ultra pro , 32 gigs , in a small card reader , which Sandisk has one the fastest read and write speed through a 2.0 usb port ..
Very good question and one I didn’t try out 🤦🏻♂️ seeing as the aux is output I doubt it as it would need to be input to play audio over BT output which it also doesn’t have I think.
Can anyone please help me out on this before buying: If I connect my phone to the device via bluetooth, and I listen to another radio station on my car stereo (= not the chosen device FM channel and not aux). What happens then, when my phone rings? Do I hear the ring tone on my phones speakers, even though audio is connected to the bluetooth transmitter? Or is the ring tone silent, because the phone audio is transfered and locked to the transmitter, from where it does not continue to the car speakers, because neither aux or the correct FM channel is active on the car stereo? It would be great if the phone speakers would still ring in this scenario, and then I could press aux or change FM station and take the call.
I don’t have this anymore to try this scenario out. But I would guess you would see your phone ring on screen but the sound would either not ring out because you’re listening to a different audio source in the car, or it would ring independently itself.
Thanks 😊 . I didn’t know that was a thing. It’s BT5.3 but I tried to connect both iPhone and Android and the second device (Android) didn’t show the BT profile of the adapter until I disconnected my iPhone. So it doesn’t look like it does support simultaneous connections 😞

Does anyone know a Bluetooth Transmitter that does not scream "connecting" or " bluetooth device found" every time you get in the car? So annoying and they all seem to do this?
I read every review on Amazon but did did not find an answer to this question. Can I use the volume dial on this bluetooth adapter to control song volume via Bluetooth from my iPhone music library to my car radio? Or is the volume control only for call volume? Thanks
... Well done Mate, Excellent. USB drive, FAT32 ? files on root ? Exceeded maximum supported drive size ? And the most likely, lack of QA in manufacturing.
They say I might have incompatible files on the drive. So I need to remove those and try that. Apparently if you have any incompatible files, accessing the drive doesn’t work at all. Which is crazy. it should just play back ones it can and skip the incompatible ones. I’ll try this soon and report back in the comments.
Bought this Joyroom off Amazon for my 2006 Highlander about 2 weeks ago. Should have bought this or something like this years ago. Works great.
Glad to hear it. Enjoy!

Hello. Is it possible to connect AUX to the phone to play music via cable instead of Bluetooth?
I don’t think so. AUX is one way, OUT not IN

do you need to pull it out of the socket to prevent battery drain?
Only if your 12V port stays on permanently. Most turn off after a few minutes of ignition off or locking your car.
