As a D3, I never get tired of watching your videos, Sir. I always learn so much. In our student clinics, we're required to conduct thorough comps with med hx, perio charting, FMS, as well as caries and oral cancer risk assessments before we even get to treatment planning. A lot of the time, it seems like a pain in the butt but I now understand why this is all mandatory. Thank you.

Dr. Cutbirth, you are so compassionate and it is exactly what we need as clinicians because we care about our patients. Thank you for another amazing lecture!

Dr. Cutbirth, thank you for leaving in the part that showed how compassionate and passionate you are about what you do. I cried too, in a good way. You’re able to explain a complicated case and even a person like myself, that isn’t a dentist or even a hygienist, can understand or follow. The first case you shared is similar to my case just without the lock jaw but with other things. I have decay at the outer gum line of all my molars from medication and the side effects. Most dentists want to extract and replace with an implant or they don’t even mention the issue. My hygienist, who is very good, quietly recommended “bonding” the molars to save my natural molars which would be great if it’s possible and would last. I don’t know much about dentistry even as a patient because I never had a cavity until I was 55. Then a cavity showed up on my canine a few months ago. I cried that day and everyday since. It’s clearly visible and I won’t smile showing teeth anymore. I know that’s childish but… My father was from Irving Texas and listening to you reminds me of my father. He lost a lot of his accent while he was in the military and he spoke about the same speed as you. Also selecting his words carefully. I lost my dad when I was 27 and I do miss him. The world needs more people like you Dr. Cutbirth. That’s not me blowing smoke…that’s a true statement. I ’ve had 3 posts placed in for the missing molars. Then I find out that all 3 were done wrong and need to be removed and redone. I paid $9000 for the 3 posts for implants. I don’t mind paying the money to have the work done correctly but I don’t have money just to throw away. That much money may not be anything for most folks but it is different in my case. I saved and my accounts were for certain things and dental being one of those accounts. Although I can’t afford having work done twice. So having lost that $9000 makes me have to cut back on another important account. I really need an honest dentist and God knows where they are in Southern California. I sincerely doubt you will see this post. It’s a very long and boring anyways. I guess I just wanted to vent my frustration even if no one sees it.
Thank you Dr Cutbirth. As a young dentist I'm very grateful for your videos. No one taught me so many things. Your videos are priceless. Greetings from Poland. :) I recommend your videos all my dental friends.

I prefer gold occlusals on second molar crowns unless the patient just absolutely does not want anything but tooth colored restorations. I tell the patient I cannot stand behind tooth colored occlusal surfaces on second molar teeth. If they break the restorations, they pay for the redo. That is true even for zirconia. I have had patients break zirconia on second molars. Take your practice to the Top Tier.
