I was overjoyed and sad at the same time. The former, that we are an unchanging people in our music, culture, traditions and dance and the latter because colonial languages have restricted our interactions with each other. Truly some form of universal language is required to unite our thoughts, ideas and lives. African tigress, I wish you had a universal translator so we can immerse ourselves in the Guinean culture and lifestyle. Truly appreciate what you and Mansa are showing us. As a African the underdevelopment of most African countries is depressing !They all look the same .The dirt roads , no running water , no electricity , lack of basic amenities. There will always be mansions and malls some where, but the majority of the country looks like this! I have lived in Sweden and Japan .Very simple countries , you will rarely see fancy mansions but they are CLEAN! Not just neat but the clean that comes with having running water , you can eat in their public toilets, they are SPOTLESS! Life expectancy into late 80s and 90s!

From observation, I think those in leadership are stealing everything leaving nothing for public investment. How can you explain suck expensive cars in such a road?

Guinea-Bissau 🇬🇼 have a beautiful history. In that west part of Africa is the only country that really fought the colonizers and gain their independence by Struggle very diverse and culturally rich. part of the city is old Colonial Bissau there is many other parts of Bissau that you didnt visit. We all are disappointed as well with the current state of the country. Guinea-Bissau is rich in natural resources. We have petroleum, bauxite, phosphate etc...potential to be Singapore of Africa in Agriculture( 21.4% of water )just for you to have an idea of amount of water in percentage Guinea-Bissau has, Nigeria has ( 1.0 % of water )but unfortunately we have a group of people that's holding the country a hostage.
