    Stress blend does wonders. I didn't use it this summer but did last summer and their is a difference for sure!

      Andy: 98 here today, hard on our cool season turf. Looks like another 1-2 days then at least getting out of the high 90’s. Catch up again soon.

      Richard agree in that Stress Blend is performing well. Irrigation is critical in this weather, it was 98 today!

    Yes sir. Layed off the N a while ago and applied some DCM 2-0-20 7/10 and SLS seaweed and humic and some molasses. Applied Bio advanced Soil moisturizer with some good watering. KBG is holding strong. Brutal weather for sure. Gonna give the Bluebank a cut tonight 1 1/2" tonight before the record heat tomorrow. 👍🏻

      I have to try DCM too. Peach Country Tractor? Saw you lawn on Insta it is more than holding up in the heat. I do run Humic and kelp. Have run a molasses product in the past, what are you using?
      I did use the same soil moisturizer this season, remember I got it on sale last season thanks to you 😉

      @@LawnJourneys I tried the Main event blackstrap DF Molasses . Very cheap so figured why not. Yes, the bio advanced soil moisturizer seems to be working good. I started using earlier this season once finished with the granular Hydretain. Fungus is my only worry to be honest. Been doing preventive since april alternating between many types and still got a couple spots. I was doing every 28 days and should of been doing closer to 21 days. Crazy season summer so far so trying to hold on. Your lawn looks great. Jersey is a tough state to grow turf.

      Yes it is DRY out there. Looks like some rain coming after Sunday. I love summer but it’s tough on cool season lawns.

    Hey Russ,
    Heat wave here in Upstate as well. Thanks to Flagship fertilizer and proper watering my lawn has never looked better. I applied Stress Blend one month ago and my lawn looks great !
    I do have irrigation and watering about the same 3 days per week.
    Stress Blend is a great fertilizer for the summer heat. I think I will stick with this one.

      Thurston I totally agree. Stress Blend is doing well here too. Lots of good ferts out there as alternatives but I like the convenience of having it delivered fast, performs well etc. I’ll likely do another app in August, then. At move back to Flagship or PGF-C for cooler months. Be well!

      Always interested to hear from you and what your up to. Love Your Soil decompacts and supports microbial action. I apply Humic here too but via liquid. Using JG product to push my pH up, great product line! Glad to hear you turf is weathering the heat. 👍

    Even in the heat my lawn looks great! I'm using my left over stress blend from last year with every other week sea kelp+ humic. (Above all water is most important). Hope you stay cool in Jersey.

      Thanks! I did run kelp and Humic last week. Also got a soil moisturizer down recently. Keep in touch 😀

    Nice lawn. I think you convinced me I need to send Allyn some money and get a bag of that stuff. Subscribed.

      Thanks for the sub! No complaints with the products. With that said I do try different manufacturers.

    Ok to use Jonathan green summer survival fertilizer and yard Mastery stress blend?

    • @LawnJourneys
      @LawnJourneys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would use one or the other (don't use both at the same time). The JG is 13-0-3 and the YM is 7-0-20. I'd be concerned with the combined N, even if both are slow release. Of course you could try each but in consecutive months. If you use or went with the JG let me know what you think, I've never tried that specific product.

      @@LawnJourneys well I used Jonathan green summer survival a month ago. I might try stress blend next summer vs summer survival but I believe you cannot go wrong with either one. Why the big difference in the past number? And what does that mean for the lawn. ? Thank you

    • @LawnJourneys
      @LawnJourneys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brodygoalie The last number is Potassium (K) percentage which plays a role in plant being successful in summer stress, such as drought, disease etc. l lean on the higher K formulations. With that said, JG is very reputable and surely knows more than us. I don’t know for sure how significant the difference in K plays out vs both having a minimum percentage that proves effective.

    • @brodygoalie
      @brodygoalie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LawnJourneys probably not a big difference but it's an education understanding all of this. I know if I ask JG this question they are going to say that they do not know about these other products that they can only speak for their products. I am definitely going to start using other products to complement what I use for JG

    It's been awful here in Massachusetts. Basically no rain and high temps more than normal. Watering bill is going to be awful. I did use Jonathan green summer survival four to 5 weeks ago. Going to apply double dark now late August. Any issues with that? Never used stress blend. Next summer of 2023.

    • @LawnJourneys
      @LawnJourneys  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I had my highest water bill EVER last month (no restrictions here but HOT). YM DD is 16-0-0 with 6% Fe, I got a good green up with it last time I used it. Your in Mass so assume your cooling down before NJ, with that said you can probably start pushing the N up with the DD. I did a second round of StressBlend last week, will move to higher N in mid to late September here, maybe I will give it a shot of DD too 😆

    I also have an Earthway 2600 spreader, what setting do you use for the YM Stressblend?

    • @LawnJourneys
      @LawnJourneys  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I set mine at 16. It’s possible that we’re not calibrated the same so keep an eye on how much product you’re using over a known area.
