I'm proud to be Polish. Thank God my parents are from Poland so that they taught me the culture and a lot of words in Polish. The Polish version was excellent and my favorite.
Luckyyy... my mom is Polish but I only know a few words in Polish. And still we used to go to Poland every Christmas until Covid. But still didnt learn anything about the language :((
My absolute favorites: 3) Brazilian Portuguese (the part when she sings “Pague” is pure perfection) 2) Ukrainian (no words, she nailed it) 1) Latin American (Mexican) Spanish (Angélica Vale portrays perfectly the personality of Mamá Imelda)
@@hemmyesty3016 thanks, although I did know what pague means. I speak both Spanish and Portuguese and it’s the same in both languages. And I think it says “Chorona”, not “chora”.
Rai Exactly! Like, I don’t think it sounds bad but it adds to the song I think when you don’t understand it. You can truly feel the emotion behind the words instead of what the words mean in themselves. And the Spanish can just be proud of the songs they produce, I suppose 😁
hey! I wasn't really expecting you to comment again haha...how're you doing? And yes, the song was kept in Spanish in a lot of languages to preserve the ethnicity and culture of the original film, although I love the Finnish one too; Sari got another role in her kitty full of dubbing roles haha! :D
Haha, I'm doing really well, just busy in life ^^' And you? :) And yeah I think that's really nice touch for the movie to keep it in Spanish! But the Finnish translation was good so I didn't mind they didn't keep it in Spanish (I would have found it weird to be honest). And yeah, I think Sari really fits this role and did really good job here, I just watched the first season of Pokemon where young Sari did Ash's voice and she is so unrecognizable there, such versatile voice! But honestly I haven't heard a single bad version of this song so far! Very good Imeldas out there!
They’re all unique, but the Spanish one just simply cannot be overtaken, it’s beyond beauty.

Beautiful multi! Norwegian also sang the Spanish lyrics too ;) I'm hoping there will be a few more dubs of La Llorona from Bulgarian, Slovene, Latvian, and Estonian.
Me as a Polish person reading the comments: 🥲☺️ When I heard this in Polish, which is a language I understood the lyrics in obv, this song hit even harder. Choćby, to miało mnie życie kosztować Ja kochać Cię nie przestanę... So sad and powerful. And these are just two lines. I love this. I'm leaving a timestamp for later use 1:00
@@sombrabestdps You keep saying No in all the comments that say she's the best, you get that the movie takes place in MEXICO and the song is Mexican? so a an amazing Mexican singer like Angelica was indeed the best. or at least the better and accurate choice...
I really wish Sari had tried to sing in Spanish, the lyrics sound so wrong in Finnish somehow cause it's a traditional song in Spanish 😅 She (and Waltteri in the duet) would've done fine for sure! Oh well, love her (their) performance anyway 😊 Beautiful multi! And I really like your editing 😍
Of course Latin Spanish is my ultimate favorite! But besides Spanish (LA) are Polish and Ukrainian but in general Spanish (LA) is the best one is not the original but I love the passion and Angelica’s voice in it! She is a very talented women! in portuguese "llorona" is "chorona" so doesn't make that much difference, she just end up putting a mexican accent on it
