I did pick msi gaming x slim white. i am not trying to advertise or something, gigabyte or palit dont need any indroduction to begin with.. just wanted to say that the card is extremely quiet, i cant notice the fan acoustics,(which surprised me) and i am very sensitive to sounds. it was the reason to change gpu to begin with... the fans usually spin at 30% and sometimes ramp up to early 40%.but thats it. thermals for gpu under load are at early 60's and for hotspot is around 8-15 degrees higher, higher for me was 79. Also the card is dual slot, light ,with relevant size for the perfomance output. I wanted to mention this because these cards were heavily criticized earlier at release while they are way more than fine..Installing the new VBIOS is very easy and even if you wont bother doing that the perfomance gains are like 2-5 fps depending on application and resolution..
it doesn't necessarily need a switch - Sapphire has a way to switch BIOS in software. but you still need two actual BIOS options, which the Palit lacks
It’s also handy to have the switch if the card bios corrupts and you can then get the card to boot with a physical switch. It’s happened to me in the past.
