I spray a fine mist of water on both sides of the paper Before I start glueing it down. It let's the paper expand and settle.

This is so cool. I was wondering is there any way to flatten a collage once it has buckled and dried? Can ironing help? Any suggestion would’ve greatly appreciated😃. Thanks for sharing your knowledge🙏🏻

Hi there. I’ve never tried to flatten a collage once it has dried but my instinct is telling me an iron won’t work. I think I would try a tiny section with the iron before I put the iron on the entire thing. Try it with a damp cloth under the iron too. Good luck - I hope you find something that works.

@@celiosergio …..Unfortunately no, once it dried I couldn’t unbuckle it. I’ve started making sure the glue is applied evenly then press hard to make sure there is no excess glue. I keep checking for the first 12hrs and press hard with a scrapper to take out excess glue/water….so far it’s working out. My dried projects I’ve placed in between heavy books but it doesn’t work perfectly..sorry. Hope this helps

I often use glossy heavy book pages for backgrounds. Would this method work for those as well?

Hi there. I'm pretty sure it would but the best way to tell is to give it go and see what happens.
