I am at the end of my first full month trying to eat as little animal product as possible (absolutely no meat but still some dairy and eggs) and I was already planning to have some chicken after my 'fast' - well here comes your video, at just the exact right time, to make me cry, hug my dog closer, remember my late pup, and commit even more to the ethics i am learning from amazing people like you. seriously. in tears. thank you. It is my belief that this, rather than graphic torture videos, is the best way to show people compassionate living.
You can do this Sydney, we all believe in you. 2 years strong and would never go back. I had a year transition (vegetarian > vegan) but I made it. So can you!
that is so sad that they put dogs down just because they "may" be pitbulls. I have a rescue pitbull and she is is the greatest princess in the whole wide world!
I'm sobbing. I have so much respect for you and for this video. This was so tastefully and gently put. I feel the same way about animals. Cows are just big BIG dogs! and pigs are smarter than dogs! UGHH this was so good Hannah! Thank you!
This video just reminded me of the number one reason why I went vegan, and I teared up thinking about all the unique and individual animals killed for the profit of humans. Thank you for this video Hannah, and thank you for inspiring me on a daily basis ❣️
I found this so emotional, my cat of 14 years doesn't have long left. He has an aggressive cancer and slowly as the days go by, he eats less, walks less and wags his half a tail less. It's amazing that he has been my best friend and support through my childhood and adulthood. Animals are truly the perfect best friend.
I am so sorry... they are such gifts. Savor every moment you can with your cuddly. It's the hardest thing to go through. But the joy they bring is the gift. 💗
I can feel the love you have for Padme through the screen, it's amazing! I can't wait til I move with my husband to the pet friendly flat, so we can have a dog!
I'm in tears, this was/is beautiful. I NEEDED A PREGNANT PERSON TRIGGER WARNING. A perfect message Hannah, delivered in a loving way. Camembert has my whole heart and you're absolutely right he is no different from a pig (I feel he is genetically very closely related). I need to reject violence too.
This video has inspired me to try and go vegan.... the thought of killing my dogs for my own consumption is horrifying, and to realize that all animals are individuals like my dogs is also saddening and horrifying, especially when I think of all the meat, cheese, and eggs I've consumed over the years.... I guess I can't reverse what's been done, but at least I can go forward eating with more purpose and thought
You got this! Going vegan has been one of the greatest joys of my life! I wish you the best! If you need support for the transition, check out challenge22.com (free resource).
Seriously, Hannah. You just blew my mind. I'm more of a "cat person," but you made me fall in love with Padme, too. The way you brought this full circle and tied veganism in with your love for your dog. Just whoa. I'm sharing this
“She just want to be loved” such a beautiful video. I’m on vacation and Hannah... you made me miss even more to my dog, Nina. All animals want and deserve to be loved❤️
This is amazing. My cat is reason I made the connection and went vegan. I'd always thought I was a 'dog person', but falling in love with my kitty and seeing his personality is what truly moved me to veganism
Thank you for this video, Hannah. I have been a vegetarian for 15 years and challenged myself to eat vegan for Veganuary. Now that January has come to an end, my friends and family believe that I can just go back to being vegetarian. After watching this video, I know that I can never go back. Vegan for life!
I feel the same about my dog. She also is a rescue, from a kill shelter in Spain. It's like I am her sun and she is my moon. We are always together. Everytime I realize she won't be here with me forever, it breaks my heart. But we will enjoy every moment until then. 🐕💕
I'm so moved and also in awe of your creativity. My 18 year old dog just passed away. He became my brother when I was 5. Then my lizard (12 years old) passed away. So much loss in a short period. I still have my two cats, but I love having a big fur family. I went vegan 3 years ago when I "made the connection." Had this video been around before then, I definitely think it would have helped me go vegan much earlier. When you're an animal lover like we are, going vegan is a no brainer❤️
I wish everyone would see this. Bc I think most people would really connect to your relationship with your dog and then maybe be able to make more of a connection with farmed animals. So true. You put it so perfectly, in a very relatable way to nearly all people
Oh my god.... in september my dog died. We got him when I was 4 and he was 13 yrs old when he died. This beautiful video really got me. Pets are so beautiful, pure and unique and EVERY animal is. Ly for those videos.
1:20 omg she’s a sweet angel. Dogs are so loyal and compassionate. What did we do to deserve them? Miss my german shepherd Jacob at home while I’m at college. This is how I feel too. ❤️
This is the best video I’ve ever seen! Thank you so much for this video and the other things you do. I have worked on a small farm and they raised 6 pigs for meat... it breaks my heart in one million pieces.. and I feel so guilty that I didn’t do anything to save them... but I gave them love.. and I guess I have to have compassion for myself too.. I have seen them grow, they were so different from one another, I could recognize them just with their eyes. They were different physically, but also in their caracters and personalities. It doesn’t make any sense to remove those lives just so humans can eat it... Also those animals are often still babies (those pigs were only 8 months old when they could have lived many years..) I hope more people will understand the consequences of their consuption of animals products and will make the switch to vegetarism/veganism..
Silent, non-commenter over here...I have watched every single video you've ever made from start to finish, and I adore all of them! But this one was so freaking amazing. Perfection. And now I'm bawling. Beautifully done. ♥️
Stopped at 2:40 (tears filled my eyes) because you were talking about your dogs grey hair, and my dogs are 2 (Otto) and 3 (ALbus) years old but I knew from the moment I got them that they wouldn't be able to grow old with us. Though I love them SO much, and do everything to give them the best life in a loving home!
We sadly lost our 2 old boys at the age of 15, a year apart, heartbreaking but we now have 2 wonderful rescues Elsa from a local Scottish charity and Max from a Romanian kill shelter. They have brought us so much happiness and joy and helped us through very sad times including the passing of my parents.
Love this!! My little dog Coco was the reason I went vegan (she has sadly passed now) she was like a little human. She knew when I was sad, happy, annoyed etc.. . She had such a wonderful personality and innocence. It connected me to the animal world and I knew that if she had this much personality other animals did too. Thanks for sharing, your dog is beautiful!! Xx
Please just enjoy every minute with your baby...Mine left this earth this year, and I never truly knew how much I would miss him until he was gone. Give her a hug for me.
I only made it 3 minutes in and I started sobbing. I’ve never heard anyone else describe their dog as their soulmate. That’s how I described mine. I truly felt like he loved me and knew me like no one else and when he died I felt like a piece of me went with him. I had never experienced a loss like that. I’m glad you got to find your canine soulmate just like i did.
Oh me? Yeah,I'm sitting in my office bawling. Lol I love your love of Padme and your love for all beings. Made me think of my pups (all dogs are puppies forvever) and my own vegan journey for the past 4 years. Thank you for this sweet video💕
this is so beautiful. you had me crying by the end of the video. it was heart-breaking in the best way possible. I'm going to go smother my dog with hugs and kisses now
I had to hold my tears back. I miss my dog so much, my boyfriend and I split up and he took her. I hope she's doing well, thank you for the incredible message and creativity!
I cried watching this video. My dog is turning 14 years old this year and we got her when I was 5. She has cancer and I know she isn't going to be with us forever but it's breaking my heart everytime I have to think about her not being with me anymore. I can't imagine life without my amazing soulmate
And now I’m crying. They feel everything we do they are pure innocence and yet we do these awful unspeakable things to them thank you for giving a voice to the voiceless ❤️🐶🐱🐰🐷🐮🐔🐥🐟🐑🐄🦃🦌🐖🐇🐙🐣🐤
I’m about to get my period and ugly cried over this. I’m new to the vegan lifestyle and it started with the intention to feel better in my digestion system. Now my world is changing with more information I find. Thank you🌱❤️
I have 3 vizslas now, but growing up have had 5 total. Your dog must have some vizsla in her! Very playful, cuddles, and so much loyalty to you! Very vizsla qualities.
Literally sitting here bawling my eyes out watching this... I want to share this with everyone I know so they can realize and feel the deep connection between all living beings. Thank you for this extremely important message delivered in such a simple, relatable and gentle way
SO SWEET reminds me of my puppa Ruby 💜 This video could flip the brain switches of many people, to make the connection between their food and the living being it has come from.
You are oozing compassion, Hannah! Your video, your message, and your sweet pup have me in tears. Thank you for this one. It’s worth sharing with all the other people out there who just need that extra nudge...
I love this! ❤️ such an easy connection for me to see now (vegan for 4 years now). I have two bunnies that live in my home cage free and they have such distinctly different personalities and I love them so much and consider them to be a part of my family. They are what made me see the connection to be more vigilant about not buying cosmetics/cleaning products tested on animals. Breaks my heart to think of little buns like my babies being harmed and tortured for the products we buy 💔
By far my favorite video you have posted. I just saw on FB someone who rescued a dog from Korea. A dog that was intended to be slaughtered for meat. My immediate thought was exactly what you just expressed in this video.
Omg I'm also crying like so many others. The love of a dog / pet is universal . Like Hannah my dog also helped me make the vegan connection of omg why do I think pigs, hens or cows don't have a personality, can love unconditionally and feel pain. Thanks for making this video Hannah!
Thank you, thank you. I wish everyone in the world could see this video. I am hugging my pup right now and crying. Now I must go find my kitty and kiss her face.
Oh Hannah. This was so beautiful. I'm sharing it everywhere. Because you love Padme the way I love my Bailey girl. And because we feel the same way about all animals. Love is love is love is love.💖
Hannah- Thank you for making this video! It truly spoke to my soul and I got a lump in my throat, on the verge of crying for so many different emotions. The love you have for Padme and the love she has for you, the connection you made between the animals we consider pets and those we consider as "things we can get something from" is beautiful. People need to see this video because it is reality without being forceful; it is pure love. Ok now, I'm crying... So many emotions continue to fill my heart and I feel so happy to have experienced this piece of your life. Much love to your beautiful family and especially Padme, for allowing us to experience her love too.
This video, Padme, and your bond are so beautiful ❤️ Thank you for the message behind the video too - veganism is one of the easiest and most enjoyable yet most powerful ways we can make a huge difference in the world!
I am still trying, Hannah, but I am trying. I have always had animals in my life, literally from birth. I can't imagine not. I have a dog who just turned 10, Amelia, and two cats, Binky Allen and Mocha. I love them all so much. They are my family. I am so inspired by you, and Ellen, and am going to continue to transition. At 60, it is harder, having spent my whole life eating a traditional diet. But I really want to, for the animals and for my health.
Hannah and Padme, thank you for making me cry tears of sadness and tears of happiness because I get to know souls like you. I love that you open my mind to new ideas and beautiful beliefs that I wish I could share with everyone on the planet. I always ask myself why do people choose to look away from things they know are wrong and not speak up for change. I try to speak up in the chances I can, and sometimes it’s really hard, but knowing you makes it easy because we’re not alone. Thank you I love you Hannah and padme for always appreciating life.
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!! Such a beautiful video. I want EVERYONE to see it!!! I am vegan for the animals, but dogs have a special place in my heart. I love how you show the connection between the animals we love and the animals we use. People need to remember that how they feel when they hear some people eat dogs is how vegans feel when people exploit any animal. Thank you for your hard work advocating for this lifestyle.
Oh my! I loved this video, made me cry a bit :) I think the easiest way to touch non vegan people is to talk about their pets indeed :) what a sweet love letter to Padmé ! Thank you for this moment Hannah !
I'm not crying, you're crying..! Okay, I'm crying. I love my doggie girl (a rescued pit who looks a lot like a pitty-er Padme!) sooo much. I was already vegan when I met my boyfriend and when we adopted Winnie, but it was her who helped him make the connection that all animals are individual beings worthy of love. 💕 This video is wonderful.
The best video ever. We are animal lovers n have become vegans in the last year. I still slip n.eat fish sometimes but have not eaten meat for over ten yrs. We have four adorable rescued cats. They are my world. Loved your furry baby Pad. Lots of kisses
I had this exact same realization when I was at my parents house a few weeks ago, we have 4 family dogs and 2 pet goats and they are all so different from each other. I had been vegetarian for the last 5 years and when I had this realization I stopped eating animal products completely. Such a good video as always!
This video is exactly what I needed right now. When I was 6 or 7 I befriended a pot bellied pig down the street, and it changed my heart. Thank you for this kind, non-forceful message.
What do you feed your dog and cat? I love your dog so much. And this video. You brought tears to my eyes. To see the love it warmed my heart. I’ve been vegan for a few years now. I’ll never understand what is so difficult to comprehend that I am the same as others, I just choose a more loving lifestyle.❤️
I could never put all of this into words as beautifully as you did. When you have an animal that you love as much as you love Padme and as much as i love my cat Jabba (also Star Wars name haha) it becomes so clear and obvious!! Thank you ❤️
This was perfect. It was silly and fun at the start and then real and sincere. It wasn't scary or intimidating. It just makes sense. Thank you for putting this into words.
This is super natural I feel you your just word vomiting(in a good way) getting all your feeling out and that for one reason or another feels really good to hear.❤️✨
my heart! Padmes look reminds me so much of my dog who has passed away. It's crazy how people are affected if their pet dies but don't think about the animals on their plate. Amazing video Hannah!
YES x100. I love you, and your dog. You may or may not have had me tearing up. I was just thinking the whole time how I feel the same love and admiration for my dogs as you feel about yours
Hannah, this was a lovely video! I work at a small farm in Michigan, where my version of Padme is a small one eyed sheep named Sox, so this video really resonated with me! I’ve been a vegetarian for 10 years now, and am working hard at cutting out dairy.
Hannah... this is one of the single most brilliant videos I’ve ever seen on TH-cam, thank you. Thank you so much. I’m going to share the heck out of it. Thank you for being so honest, gentle and kind. Thank you and Padme! Xx
Wow, Hannah. I loved this. I should be studying for my chemistry test at the moment, but that thumbnail got me (cause Padawan Apprentice is an absolute beauty). And now i'm sitting here sobbing. Haha I love you. I love Padme. And I love all of the animals who are suffering everyday in factory farms, at the hands of human beings. Thank you, Hannah, for spreading the vegan message with love.
Currently vegetarian with the ultimate goal of being whole plant based. Food has always been a struggle so it has been a journey working on my relationship with food and health but I know each step will bring me closer and that is what I keep my focus on just keep moving forward.
Def cried. I relate so much to this video. I feel the same way about my sweet pup Clyde. I cried as well when I noticed the gray hairs on his muzzle 😭😭
Let me say this....i enjoy your videos immensely. I love the fit, active, healthy lifestyle you maintain. I do not have any pets, nor do I consider myself to be an animal person in general. In fact when I saw a video about your dog I thought "eh" but watched it anyway as I do all your videos. But this one was so REAL Hannah, it was tasteful, and heartfelt. I am so very touched by it, I just wanted to say "thank you!"
Hannah, This is such a beautiful video. Making that connection from pet to "farm" animal would be such a huge shift for some non vegans, I hope as many as possible see this video. Great work!
This video was so perfect. Thought provoking and compassionate. You are exactly the kind of activist I aspire to be. Thank you for making such a beautiful video.
recently I have adopted 4 hens fell off from a truck. it was the first time for me with these animals but I had to take them with me. they were sick and scared and it killed me to see them like that. now... I was plant based for years then I went vegan. I have these hens since last october. they are safe and healthy now. they are so beautiful I wish you could see them. I cuddle them, make them very lovely meals. I secretly cook special pasta with lentils and salad for them and they are giving me so many eggs. so many. 4 eggs every day. at the beginning I sincerely didnt know what to do. they were making eggs and leave them everywhere. they didnt care about them. people thought I was crazy. leaving eggs all around. XD sooooooooooooooooo it happened.... I started to eat eggs again after years. I dont know if it's wrong or not. but it's like they're saying "thank you for taking care of us, the eggs are for you". probably for all vegans this is so wrong. eggs are the only animal product I'm eating right now. and I dont know guys. you can say it's bad for human health or something like that. but is it bad for my hens if I eat their eggs?
Hannah this was genius . You related to me(vegan) and my meat eater husband he was so sad to see this he said he wouldn't eat meat Any more after this you have made a change . That's really powerful !! Well done and thank you x
This is a wonderful video! Padme is so lovely! thank you Padme and thank you Hannah for this amazing reminder of love and gratitude. My dog, Pheobe, looks very similar to Padme besides the fact she's 2 years old:):) And I'm totally in love with her, couldn't have asked for a better childhood companion
An important message delivered in a gentle, thought provoking, compassionate way...hats off to you Mrs McNeely!
Aw thanks, that means a lot
finally the video padme DESERVES
Great video
I am crying because I love my dog so much
I am crying too...I just lost my soul mate cat and I can't imagine life without these beautiful beings. So blessed to be vegan.
@@PapayaJoy no one cares about cats

You can do this Sydney, we all believe in you. 2 years strong and would never go back. I had a year transition (vegetarian > vegan) but I made it. So can you!
I am crying because I never looked at it like this before.... thank you for the new perspective
that is so sad that they put dogs down just because they "may" be pitbulls. I have a rescue pitbull and she is is the greatest princess in the whole wide world!
I know, it's very sad.
I'm sobbing. I have so much respect for you and for this video. This was so tastefully and gently put. I feel the same way about animals. Cows are just big BIG dogs! and pigs are smarter than dogs! UGHH this was so good Hannah! Thank you!
THANK YOU FOR LOVING THOSE ADORABLE COWS NO ONE ELSE GETS IT
People think cows are so gross and I'm like um that is a literal angel
This video just reminded me of the number one reason why I went vegan, and I teared up thinking about all the unique and individual animals killed for the profit of humans. Thank you for this video Hannah, and thank you for inspiring me on a daily basis ❣️

You can do this! Transition slowly, and find replacements for the food you have been eating and explore
You got this! Going vegan has been one of the greatest joys of my life! I wish you the best! If you need support for the transition, check out challenge22.com (free resource).

Informative without feeling preachy or condemning. Thank you for sharing this!
It’s interesting that speaking the facts about animal consumption would EVER be perceived as preachy or condemning.
Anytime anyone voices their opinions on anything (religion, politics, parenting...) it can be construed as being preachy or condemning
Thank you for this video... so moving... thank you for this speach! ❤
I'm crying. Thank you for this video. Padme is such a beauty!

Well done. Excellent way of getting your point across. And Padme is absolutely ADORABLE!!😍

I freakying LOVE your message and this video!!
This video was so well done! Thank you for giving animals a voice.
Hannah this had me BAWLING so hard my sweet cat came up to comfort me. I love this and love you for making it. Give Padme so much love from all of us.
I‘m not crying you are 😭😭
Such a great Video 💕
You know something hits home in all of us when half the people commenting confess they are crying while watching. Myself included. Beautiful video 🥰
I just lost my lil daschund man to a negligent truck driver yesterday, and this got me right in all of my feelingssssss
Please just enjoy every minute with your baby...Mine left this earth this year, and I never truly knew how much I would miss him until he was gone. Give her a hug for me.

I have a rescue pit bull & he has changed my life .... I am so happy & grateful everyday now!!!!
Ugh I wish everyone would become vegan ..... it feels so lonely sometimes when surrounded by people who don’t get it.....
Yet .... because I believe people are changing
this is so beautiful. you had me crying by the end of the video. it was heart-breaking in the best way possible.
I'm going to go smother my dog with hugs and kisses now

I love her omg! She is so precious I rescued my dog when I was 20 and although it’s been difficult it was the best rescue decision I have ever made.
And now I’m crying. They feel everything we do they are pure innocence and yet we do these awful unspeakable things to them thank you for giving a voice to the voiceless ❤️🐶🐱🐰🐷🐮🐔🐥🐟🐑🐄🦃🦌🐖🐇🐙🐣🐤

You got me crying thinking about my little guy who passed away 2 years ago. I loved the little grey beard he had ❤️
Thank you, thank you. I wish everyone in the world could see this video. I am hugging my pup right now and crying. Now I must go find my kitty and kiss her face.
You're amazing
thank you for sharing love and peace
I want a dog so bad it hurts a little to watch how much you love your Padme. But it also makes my heart warm and fuzzy to see it.
Great video Hannah!
Padme is amazing. I love my dog so much 🐶♥️
This video, Padme, and your bond are so beautiful ❤️ Thank you for the message behind the video too - veganism is one of the easiest and most enjoyable yet most powerful ways we can make a huge difference in the world!
I agree!
You talk like the female John Green and you are so utterly, utterly lovely. Incredible video. Everyone needs to see this.
This is your best video yet, I’m in tears. Thank you Hannah and Padme.
Xx
Wow. This hit me so, so hard. Amazing, Hannah
Wow, Hannah. I loved this. I should be studying for my chemistry test at the moment, but that thumbnail got me (cause Padawan Apprentice is an absolute beauty). And now i'm sitting here sobbing. Haha
I love you.
Literally Amazing. Never seen such a good look at compassion, done so effortlessly.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful and honest video! Made me cry because We love our doggie and bunny sooo much!!!! 😘🌺
Hannah, This is such a beautiful video. Making that connection from pet to "farm" animal would be such a huge shift for some non vegans, I hope as many as possible see this video. Great work!
i never stop coming back to this video. one of my favorites.
THANK YOU, Hannah. Perhaps consider writing this down in a blog post for those who prefer to read. :) Sending love.
