      theletterisb this transition would not effect the synchronisation? Won’t it get disturbed? Music and video would be out of place?

      Do a tutorial on seamless transitions that Jr Alli uses in his videos...

    • @theletterisb
      @theletterisb  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really because the main impact of the transition still happens at the point where you synced the effect to the music.

    • @lalasendor1038

      maybe some seamless detailed transitions that link scenes we haven't seen before (editing by frame, quick lighting changes, fast linear wipes)

      Danke dir! Es freut mich wirklich sehr das ich dir mit meinem Content helfen kann. Ich schätze es sehr das du dir die Zeit nimmst und dieses kurze aber coole Kommentar schreibst. Das bedeutet mir wirklich viel! Auch wenn viele Leute das sagen meine ich es auch tatsächlich so. Ich bin dankbar für jeden Support. Das ist auch der Grund dafür das ich versuche so viele Kommentare wie möglich zu beantworten, auch wenn sich manche wiederholen. Viele Leute merken gar nicht wie sehr sie einen Content Creator helfen nur indem sie aktiv sind. Also danke nochmal! Bleib gesund!

This is really important to me because that's the only way we are able to grow and share my knowledge with many more people! You might not believe it but small things like dropping a like, posting a comment and watching the video itself support me tremendously. And I'm always willing to help you with any questions within the comment section! Have a good one.

    I can’t believe I’ve been watching Vegas videos for the last year and FINALLY now I found your channel that knows how to TEACH it correctly and beautifully. My one questions is what is the best frame rate in camera to use while recording so that your speed ramps look the best in post-30-60-120-240? Thanks for the vid wishing you 100k+ subs. 💯👍🙌

    • @theletterisb
      @theletterisb  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there, I'm really happy that my videos are that useful to you and I'm so glad for all the kind words. I also appreciate that you took that time of your day to write this cool comment. People always say they appreciate the support but I truly mean it! Without comments like yours I wouldn't know if my video was good or not. And only with feedback I can improve in the future. So, once again thanks a lot. Now, regarding your question, I would shoot anything that won't be slowed down at 24 fps for a cinematic look. If you plan to slow down something you can go up to 60 as well as 120 fps if your camera is capable of. You won't see any big difference between framerates while speed ramping because it depends on your shutterspeed how smooth your footage will look like. The right shutterspeed will allow you to create the most natural motion blur, and this will give you the illusion of the footage looking even smoother. The rule of thumb is to go always x2 then your fps. So if you shoot with 60 fps your shutterspeed needs to be at least 120 or 125 depending on the setting on your camera available. Last but not least I would be als super happy to see more comments from you coming in the future because I planned to do some pretty cool videos this year that might be interesting to you as well. Have a great day and a great start into the new year!

      I'm glad I was able to help you with this tutorial Scorpio! And I would like to thank you for taking that time of your day to write this kinda comment. I really do appreciate it. Even though people say that all the time I truly mean it, otherwise I would never know if my videos were useful to you. And such feedback is the best I can get to either improve or know that I'm doing things right. So once again, thanks a lot for the support! I hope to see many more awesome comments from you coming in the future because I planned to create some really interesting content this year! Happy new year!

    Why am I getting a problem, when add velocity speed ramping, at the end of my video I get the beginning of my video replaying again for like 5 seconds ? In Sony Vegas 12.

    • @theletterisb
      @theletterisb  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because you have to set another velocity point at the position where the speed ramp should stop so the video will go back to normal. And if don't want the speed ramp to stop for this part of the clip you gotta slow down the speed ramp until you won't see your clip replaying.

    • @ms-cn8ww
      @ms-cn8ww 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@theletterisb why I cant slow down my video with velocity, it goes in reverse when I put the velocity below 0.

    • @theletterisb
      @theletterisb  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, everything below 0 will start to reverse the video. you can only play with slow motion to 1% even though this looks really bad. I would only suggest to go at max to 15-25% if you have some really high fps footage.

    Hi,
    Great video.
    You said the clips are synced to the music and you then go on to add in the envelope velocity to speed it up.
    Does this muck up the video / audio syncing so you have to redo it?

    In my Sony Vegas I can only speed up to 300% I dont have the max option as you have in your video...do you know why?

    • @theletterisb
      @theletterisb  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because you are using a older version. The only work-around you have is to set the speed to 300%, render the clip and import it back to VEGAS Pro so you can add a additional 300% and so on. The only downside is that the quality of your footage will drop slightly if each re-render.

    Why when i put the velocity to maximum forward the footage is looping?

    • @theletterisb
      @theletterisb  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because your footage on the timeline is to long, drag it to the left to adjust it's size to the appropriate length. Then set a velocity point at the moment where you want the effect to stop and turn down the speed back to normal.

    Any tips on settings to get better playback to see the results of the speed ramp settings you have applied? I use a desktop PC with an i7 8700k CPU, 24 Gigs of RAM, disabled resampling and the quality is set to "Preview" and it's still hard for my pc to show me something in real time that is close to the rendered results.

    • @theletterisb
      @theletterisb  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know exactly what you are talking about. Unfortunately this is not a problem of your computer. You have plenty of RAM and your processor is also just fine! The problem is the not perfect optimization of VEGAS Pro. It simply doesn't run that well anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love VEGAS and I remember using Sony Vegas 7 back in the days, where you could literally create the biggest timeline and face no crashes or lags at all. Unfortunately this has changed over the time with the newer versions of VEGAS Pro. I would love to do some more VEGAS Pro tutorials in the future but I will also start using Premiere Pro a lot more and create content for it as well, simply because it runs a lot more stable.
