I have three power stations with DJI 1000 in the arsenal. It is a bit heavy, but I purchased the bag and it makes it more manageable. I try and take it everywhere that I go. I use it to power all of my devices. I love the fast charging and the that it can handle a load.
Can the Power 500 be taken on an aircraft? I want to use it in the field to charge drone batteries on inspections but will need to fly to the location.
I already got me the Grecell T-1000 incl. a 100W Solarpanel for only 300 bucks and that's basically all I need. I avoid fast charging whereever I can cuz it reduces the lifecycle. Best way for recharging the power station (generator) is of course sunlight (up to 85%) and I do not suck out all energy from it (lowest level is 20%).
A DJI battery with a charging station is $463. Two Mavic 3 batts are $384. The 500 power station is $380 with a discount. I have two batts but no charging station, so I would have to charge through the drone. With the fast charging capabilities, I think the 500 is the better deal and the most versatile. I already have a big Anker batt for blackouts and running lights in the field.
The problem is that, even though just released, I can't find *any* of the accessories. All are out of stock. It's as if they launched without the inventory. I bought the Power 1000 but it's only good for AC and USB C power since I can't get the special cables. Do anyone have any insight as to when this lack of accessories will be fixed?
Hmmm…I wonder how reliable they are. I owned another huge brand power station and always stored it at 60%, which was recommended by the manufacture. My power station took a 💩 & now it’s an expensive brick. I’m not sure if this influencer actually has our best interests or is he saying all that for compensation from DJI. Hope I am wrong and it’s the best power station ever.
The accessories take about a month to arrive from DJI. Amazon doesn't carry any of the corded accessories at the time of this comment. The Power 1000 took about 2 weeks to arrive from Amazon. For the lolz I tested charging my Tesla Model Y and nope, doesn't work.
"Portable". I mean i get it. If they were any smaller they wouldnt hold much juice. But yeah. Car-table not really portable. Carrying even the smallest of the two in your backpack, hiking up a mountain, yikes. It's obviously brilliant for more larger scale projects or enterprise applications. But as a single user, i'd rather bring triple the batteries instead, for a fraction of the weight. Now, one of these with an integrated unfoldable solar panel on the top? Now were talkin.. The problem with that of course being that EU / USA loves banning Chinese-produced solar panels because they're "too cheap". (We only want to save the planet, if it's still profitable for our companies to do so, food for thought) I suspect that may be a reason why we might not see an integrated solution, for a reasonable price.
Don’t mean to be negative but the recency bias is strong on this one, it’s not the best imo, considering that there is a $300 coupon for this thing off rip at launch I wouldn’t be so quick to call this the best of the best, and also, it’s only 1000WH which can’t do anything really. If something goes on sale day 1, you not it’s not good.
No mention i've seen ,as to whether these units are PURE SINEWAVE or not. One test i've seen indicates a dirty RF signal emiting from the 1000 unit.. would love clarity on this issue.
With my charging needs I bought the 500. I believe it’s going to fill all my daily travel needs.
Awesome video Billy. Thank you
I love all these batteries haha and with so many companies making more, price should drop quick!

Great review, Billy. I just purchased the 1000.
I like the design of these Power Stations. And they are priced to sell. Great review, I might have to consider getting the 500. Thanks for sharing.
Will they self discharge to a safe percent like the dji drones

Great job on the review!!!
I have been waiting for this
I needed a portable power station but in the uk it's $600 for the 500

just bought the Power 500 through your link, you convinced me lol
Do they put out "Pure Sine Wave" or is it "Modified Sine Wave" ?
why does that matter?
@@underscore_tip Some AC powered devices don't play nicely with anything other than pure sine wave power.
Nice review! by the way, I didn't see you at the DJI NAB booth this year lol
Can these charge Matric 30 batteries and have enough watt hours to do so? for 8 hours?
Hello Billy, hey does inspire 3 charge cable work to charge Inspire 2 battery’s?

If you have Anker then this is junk for you

can these be used as UPS for desktop PC to prevent PC from improper shutdown during power outage?
Billy Kyle always makes great content.
Did you get the cables yet to charge inspire 3?
For dual battery drones, why not just plug their chargers into the mains voltage power socket on the Power Station?
Energy loss
Very good review Billy
Great Review! Thanks!
6:57 dude, it's LiFe chemistry, that 1C charging isn't gonna make a big dent to the up to 10000 cycles that it can do
thanks Billy! subbed
So is there no way to run the chargers off DC power? seems like a waste to go from DC > AC > DC
Power 1000 too heavy?! Time to hit the weights bro!
It’s not on sale here in Europe 🥺
1st minute too intense. chill!
porque solo probarla con un calentador? ... con tantos ejemplos allí afuera que se pueden usar
Nice.

Battery chemistry? These are great for Starlink use…
It's missing a dc barrel jack
Finally! Lol...good review buddy!

Actually, if you make it yourself you can lose about 40% of the total volume, if you make it with Li-ion cells you lose another 50 or so % of volume.
Sold power 500
i buy the fly more combo, 3 batteries and charger. the charger that comes with the avata 2 is useless! takes 10 hours to charge 3 batteries! wtf?
Yeah they needed to provide one that has the power adapter. I use my mavic 3 one for charging the avata 2 batteries.
Do they have an app with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity? Love that about my EcoFlow batteries and I have found that to be extremely useful.

Exactly shills need to call it the best 👌
It’s the best for dji drone flyers

You should give one away

doesn't matter
First😄 Great power station 👍 Anker is also great
It’s convenient for commercial users to have the DJI fast charge port but even the smaller one is overpriced. Jackery is good enough and cheaper.
Just see the disassembly of both. Anyone with little electrical knowledge would see jackery is the overpriced one.
