Welp here goes the story. Clipz, TimidHouseCat, and I started the team back in 2010. Obviously it just started as a group of friends, and we never really expected to compete with the other large clans at that time like OpTic and M40A3. At that time I think Timid was the only one with a PVR. I might have had a Dazzle but never used it cause the quality was way worse. The early days just consisted of Timid, Clipz, and I with some of our friends going for cool killcams, and then compiling them into a montage. This ended up becoming ILLCAMS. We really only recruited close friends until we started to grow and realized we should probably expand the team a bit. We literally held a sniper only FFA tournament on Terminal to decide who to recruit LOL. Temperrr was always first or second during these matches so Clipz, Timid and I got into a party to discuss recruiting him. At that time, Temperrr would record his clips with a video camera that he used for skateboarding videos. Tbh the quality was pretty clean, right between a dazzle and PVR quality. Anyway we invited Temperrr to the xbox party and asked him to join. Ever since FaZe started to grow at the early stages, I would always try to reach out to the bigger players and teams for advice. One day I got into a lobby with OpTic Vivo. We talked for a bit and actually ended up becoming pretty good friends. After a few months of talking and playing together, Vivo said we should go to MLG Dallas 2010 since a lot of the OpTic team were going to be there, including H3CZ. Since I lived in Dallas, a couple of my real life friends and me got tickets and went to the event. We didn't have anything scheduled and obviously no one knew who we were. We saw a lot of people on the other side of the event with optic jerseys on so we just walked right up to them. I asked H3CZ if we could just take a 10-15 second video introducing ourselves with him for our channel, which he was happy to do. This is when the channel started to really blow up. After meeting H3CZ and talking with him further after the event, he helped us get a contract with Machinima so we could start monetizing our videos. OpTic also put us in their "sub box" which was a huge deal if you remember what that was, and we were getting a ton of subscribers. We also started to play with a lot of the OpTic members which meant we could feature them in our videos bringing in ever more recognition. Some more months went by, I met my girlfriend and started playing COD a bit less, Clipz got the red ring of death and quit, and (I think) Timid ended up leaving the clan to do some real life stuff eventually joining back later on. I made Tommy (Temperrr) co-leader as the leadership dwindled down and I didn't have time to do all the youtube stuff as much. Tommy did a great job at finding new recruits, finding editors, graphic designers, etc. After being co-leader for a while, he ended up kicking out two of my real life friends from the clan for not creating any content, meaning he just removed their names from the roster and their channels from the main channel. I was pretty upset about it, but I think I just ended up respecting the decision since Tommy was helping a lot with the channel. After some more time went by, Tommy ended up doing the following. I don't remember in which order, but this ultimately led to me leaving the team. He removed me from the roster as leader, created a separate "inactive" roster, put me as the only clan member on there, then changed the password to the channel and made himself the only leader. I fully admit after meeting my gf that I slowed down from playing a lot. I wasn't making my own videos, or hitting many killcams, etc. However I was still the founder of the team, and I did a lot of stuff behind the scenes to further the success of FaZe and try to make our members happy. With that being said, I don't hold any animosity towards Tommy or any of the current or previous FaZe members. I never made or asked for a dollar from the organization. The girlfriend I met in high school that took my time away from call of duty is now my wife and we have two kids and a good life together. Even if it burned a few people, Tommy did what was necessary to elevate the team and get FaZe to where it is today. If I remained leader, I'm sure the org would be much smaller but it would be a team full of close friends that just play to have fun. That's all FaZe was ever meant to be. - Resistance
1 of the leaders got red ring of death (clips) and never got back online again, the other quit so there was only 1 owner left and he did nothing for FaZe. Reality is FaZe wouldnt be relevent if Temperrr didnt take full control, he had a vision and he saw it through. Morally was this wrong to do probably lol, but this happens alot in the real world. If you have something of value and potential and someone else realizes it and you arent using it to its potential someone will steal it no matter what it is.

I kind of understand temperr with this. Years ago in a FPS called Americas Army, I was in a clan and quickly rose to one of the top leaders in the clan. The original owners slowly drifted away and then after months of no comms from them, I am running the show, I took their website and youtube channel over, I changed all of the passwords, because they just disappeared. I took over payments for the website, ran everything. Scrims, ACI and AON anti cheat scripts kept up on the servers, i spent more hours than I should have at 15 years old. All of it was for fun, so money was not involved. It wasn't that serious. Thats exactly how those kids who created faze felt back in the day.
It was messed up for Temperrr to change the FaZe password without permission and steal the channel, but at the same time all the other leaders were barely doing anything for FaZe. Pretty sure ClipZ got the RROD and Resistance stopped playing. I think House Cat/Timid left but then joined back at a later date for a little bit i think. Temperrr was like the only person working on FaZe back then. If instead he decided to leave FaZe, then FaZe would not be here today imo. I dont hate any of the 3 OG leaders but i feel like a lot of the time they just really regret not staying with FaZe at the time. Also dont know why this story is blowing up again. He already put a lot of time and effort into FaZe, and he cared for the clan. Actions speak louder than words, and based on contributions to the clan from members during the time when he changed the passwords showed that he cared about FaZe more than anyone, especially the original founders at the time. He was putting in more work than all the remaining founders , and in his eyes he felt that he deserved to be the main owner. He already loved FaZe, and he wasn't just going to leave and make a new clan when he put so much effort into the Clan, and rather than watching it die, he took the reigns. Also, whether you think it's right or wrong you also have to appreciate that he's being honest about it. Not to mention, the original founders, have been invited back to FaZe before and they added nothing to the Clan as a result. Although Temperrr played a giant role in FaZe’s success, I still feel like it would only be right for ClipZ, Resistance, and Timid House Cat to always have a hand in the team they started regardless of what changes the team goes through over the years. Even if they willingly stepped down from leading the team, their positions as founders and having. Some degree of a say in what direction the team takes should be concrete no matter what.

It's been known for awhile that this happened and I understand all the hate for Temperrr, but FaZe wouldnt be anything today without Temperrr pushing it to the next level.

He already put a lot of time and effort into FaZe, and he cared for the clan. Actions speak louder than words, and based on contributions to the clan from members during the time when he changed the passwords showed that he cared about FaZe more than anyone, especially the original founders at the time. He was putting in more work than all the remaining founders , and in his eyes he felt that he deserved to be the main owner. He already loved FaZe, and he wasn't just going to leave and make a new clan when he put so much effort into the Clan, and rather than watching it die, he took the reigns. Also, whether you think it's right or wrong you also have to appreciate that he's being honest about it. Not to mention, the original founders, have been invited back to FaZe before and they added nothing to the Clan as a result. Although Temperrr played a giant role in FaZe’s success, I still feel like it would only be right for ClipZ, Resistance, and Timid House Cat to always have a hand in the team they started regardless of what changes the team goes through over the years. Even if they willingly stepped down from leading the team, their positions as founders and having. Some degree of a say in what direction the team takes should be concrete no matter what.

It's been known for awhile that this happened and I understand all the hate for Temperrr, but FaZe wouldnt be anything today without Temperrr pushing it to the next level.
This is what happens when egos collide. This Temper shit is common in any work field. Employees often feel like they do all the work and get none of the benefits. This isn't an online faze content creation thing, this is just life. You wither deal with it and don't bitch and wait your time and climb the ranks, or you move on and do it on your own.

Regardless of what and where FaZe is going I think Clipz deserves his spot, he founded FaZe. They legally shouldn't be able to just rip of a contract without both parties agreeing. Anything else is just wrong. They had that contract for a reason.

I think Temper got super lucky to Join a Clan that already had a head start by having the Ogs making some pretty important moves, then they fell off and Temper was carrying the clan at that point doing the bulk of the work. Yeah, it sucks that it was technically stolen, but damn thats a tough one. I mean honestly. Those are tough decisions.
