    You shoukd never feel bad about getting scammed or ripped off --- you were trying to be a good person and if you were scammed, that's on them, not you! I try to keep the attitude of I'm trying to help someone I think is in need and.if they're lying to me, that's on them because my heart was in the right place ❤

      Like everywhere else in the world, it depends on where you purchased your items. I lived in Buenos Aires Argentina for over 10 years. Where he brought that steak the restaurant had table clothes on the tables and that indicated to me that was an expensive restaurant in Buenos Aires, hell you can buy a 200 dollars steak dinner in Buenos Aires if you want, but if you live like a local in Argentina you will never spend 30 US dollars for a meal in Buenos Aires.

    you should try the Argentinian way of the asado. If you go to a Argentine Parrilla, the first course is Grilled cheese with chimichurri, grilled vegetables, and chorizo, lots of French style bread and then all then some chitterlings, kidneys, some other parts unnamed with salsa criolla ( onion.pepper), plain salad ( tomato lettuce ), maybe fries. The rest are increasingly bigger parts of the sides of the cow, and the juicier. The last course is coffe and dessert. You could gain a lot of kilos in one seat. Never ask for sweet sauce of any kind or the service will be very mad. The URuguayan version have more chivito involved, but is almost the same

    My wife and I spent 3 months in BA in Aug '22 and paid just shy of $20 for two ribeye's (ojo de bife), shared vegetables and salad, a beer and glass of wine at a small neighborhood parilla. That was probably the cheapest meal we had cause we normally paid more than that at larger more established places but essentially, deals could be had. Its been two years and we're itching to go back... high likely hood it'll be summer of next year (winter there). We absolutely loved our stay in BA. We made some friends there and will go back knowing inflation is really high right now although the Blue dollar is making up for most of it (good for visitors, bad for locals)

    I went to a restaurant last year and got a steak meal for $5 in Buenos Aires at their lunch special, it depends where you go also, if I had gone to a famous parrilla it would have been $100 or so, but you pay for the popularity of the restaurant, and the parrilla you went to, had a line, that means the prices won't be cheap because certain spots have a name and then they can afford to charge higher prices, but if you go to a random restaurant the food most likely will be as good, and the prices much lower.

    I first went to Buenos Aires Argentina in 2005. I lived in Buenos Aires Argentina for 10 years. You want to avoid the Argentina banking systems because of the fees you are going to be charged for using your cards.For me, Western Union is the best option while in Argentina. Sometimes Western Union will give you a better rate than the blue rate.

    • @vosyasabesquien
      @vosyasabesquien 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      right now there is only a small amount of difference between the official and the blue dollar rate, so its safer to make the exchange with a bank vs make the transaction in the streets with strange people. currently the main 'problem' is the cost of living (food, floor rent, etc). the price of a pizza at an average pizzeria is aprox 16 usd (same as in the usa).

    • @markrush2319
      @markrush2319 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @vosyasabesquien You are totally wrong. There is a 200 peso difference from the blue rate and the official rate. Next if you use an ATM 🏧 machine both your card company and the Argentina bank will charge you fees,you may pay 10 dollars in fees to take out a 1000 Argentina 🇦🇷 peso which would be the equivalent of taking out 10 US dollars 💸. You should avoid the official Argentina 🇦🇷 banking system at all costs, its not worth it.

      @@markrush2319 wrong. actually the difference is 100 pesos (1027 vs 1135). besides that, there is a huge difference between you (a person who lived for 10 years here) and an average tourist. there are a lot of videos of arbolitos scamming tourists. 'viveza criolla', you know.

    • @markrush2319
      @markrush2319 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @vosyasabesquien well if you are not willing to do your research and take the time to study and understand Argentina you will get ripped off, next, the last time that I checked the official exchange rate was 927 pesos to the dollar and the blue rate was 1105. But Western Union was offering 1127 pesos per US dollars 💸. I can send myself from Chicago 1000 dollars 💵 to Argentina for a fee of 4.00 US , and I avoid all those ridiculous bank fees. But if you think that the Bank has a better deal for you, then by all means, use it. No sweat off my back. I will continue to use the Blue Market and Western Union.
