People are so quick to hate Christians, it's really sad. The majority of us, I'm saying this as a Christian, truly practice love the sinner, hate the sin. The problem is, the world expects us to love and support their sins, and to love and accept their bad behavior and negative traits, and if we don't, then somehow we are narrow-minded, bigoted and not "true" Christians. Apparently, they expect Christians to be perfect, and then accuse us of thinking that we're perfect. When the vast majority of us, know that we are absolutely not perfect, and that being a true follower of Christ is actually a very hard life because we know how he hated we are, and we're just as susceptible to sin as anyone else. I really hate the Anti-Christian rhetoric that is so prevalent and accepted today. Somehow it's okay to bash us and to hate us, but if it were done to any other faith, it would automatically be denounced. I always have to remind myself, when the Anti-Christian hate gets to me, that the world hated Jesus first, so it's only natural that they will hate me because I believe in Him, have faith in Him and His Word, and I live for Him and I love Him.

Is it hard to believe that some Christians or religious people actually love people who they are? It doesn't mean they accept people's behaviors or actions.
People are so quick to hate Christians, it's really sad. The majority of us, I'm saying this as a Christian, truly practice love the sinner, hate the sin. The problem is, the world expects us to love and support their sins, and to love and accept their bad behavior and negative traits, and if we don't, then somehow we are narrow-minded, bigoted and not "true" Christians. Apparently, they expect Christians to be perfect, and then accuse us of thinking that we're perfect. When the vast majority of us, know that we are absolutely not perfect, and that being a true follower of Christ is actually a very hard life because we know how he hated we are, and we're just as susceptible to sin as anyone else. I really hate the Anti-Christian rhetoric that is so prevalent and accepted today. Somehow it's okay to bash us and to hate us, but if it were done to any other faith, it would automatically be denounced. I always have to remind myself, when the Anti-Christian hate gets to me, that the world hated Jesus first, so it's only natural that they will hate me because I believe in Him, have faith in Him and His Word, and I live for Him and I love Him.

Gabe doesnt love himself enough yet for them all to get through these things as easily as they could have. If he somehow manages to NOT allow his subconscious to sabotage this relationship, its still going to be a seriously rocky road simply because he's unable to accept the anymore love than he feels he deserves.
I understand the struggles hes having with self love and maybe unintentionally comparing this situation to one in the past where the ones saying they accepted him had alterior motives and it resulted in him getting seriously hurt. But I don't agree with him having taken all of these major steps in life before he's even fully accepted himself. It was definitely selfish. Poor Isabella. She should have been able to celebrate a monumental sense of relief after hearing her parents' response. Unfortunately, the excitement, peace of mind, love, etc. she initially felt was ripped away from her because of Gabriel's unresolved traumas and insecurities. Ugh. Sad, frustrating situation all the way arounf. 😕
