Nice cover on the Edw VI. And interesting stuff. He is noted as saying by Anne Somerset in her Elizabeth I: with respect to Mary marrying a foreigner 'the same stranger... would rather adhere and practise to have the laws and customs of his own native country...to be practised and put in use within this our realm...'. The Armada of course duly follows a little later in the century, and the plots and attempts on Elizabeth's life...
@@lilsvintageworld Mm, fair doos. I happened on the Helen Mirren & J Irons version last night funnily enough. I'm only 45 mins in, but am very impressed. There are other Elizabeth's of course.
Brilliant video! Do you have any recommendations for Prince Arthur? I know he died before he could be king, but I just find him so interesting, like it was supposed to be him, not Henry, yet he is never spoken about. Btw you are literally my favourite TH-camr for books! I love your videos on historical fiction and non-fiction, especially surrounding the tudors, and then add in the fact that you love Agatha Christie as well, honestly I am sold on every single book recommendation!
Thank you! So helpful to find a detailed review on Tudor xxx
Have ordered some Amy licence books from the library thanks

There's a good book written by Sean Cunningham on Prince Arthur. Non fiction.
Nice touch including a book recommendation on Elizabeth of York who by right should've been Queen after the disappearance of her brothers
Thank you! I believe she should of really yes
“A turd on a stick” 😅 I adore you! Another plus, all of these were available at my library! Yayyy 😊
