@2012stargirl Er can I just say that V is not the Pope, or representative of the Pope. The only thing Guy Fawkes and the Pope had in common was that they were both Catholic. V wishes Guy Fawkes to be remembered because he was willing to do something about the current government and stand up for what he believed was right. And how can V not be a hero? He's fighting against facism! A very different situation to when Guy Fawkes made his attempt.

I don't think the Vatican run Hollywood. The idea, to me as a Catholic, is hilarious. Anyway, you're entitled to your views. Still think it's a good film.
