what i dont get is that Donald Douglas, Boco, bill and Ben and Oliver and Mavis are in it but aren't seen going to the big city (london), yet they are in the story.
Well they are taken role as the mainland engines (Jinty and Pug), which were seen in the original story 'The Fat Controller's Engines' from RWS No.12 'Eight Famous Engines'. The episode adaptation was kind of deviating from the original and use characters that kids are familiar too most likely budget reason.
